Not sure if it counts, but years ago (the year 2000, I think) in a manga and anime magazine there was an article about Rurouni Kenshin that described Aoshi's desire to fight Kenshin to prove his strenght as "a challenge for a steel cage match with the WWF Intercontinental Championship on the line".

You probably get more WWF mentions than WWE these days.

I seem to remember one of the FIFA games had the commentators describe a particularly bad tackle as "something out of the WWF" or something like that.

Daniel Tosh references old school WWF/NWA wrestlers in his act and on Tosh.0.

I seem to remember one of the FIFA games had the commentators describe a particularly bad tackle as "something out of the WWF" or something like that. And chilean commentators say the same exact line with the same situation in a football match

Paul O'Grady has a photo of Chris Jericho on his desk during the Paul O'Grady show, I remember been delighted when I spotted it.

They got a mention in one of the $2000 questions on today's College Jeopardy here in Dallas. The answer was: "The name of this WWE show is slang for a decisive victory."

WWE, specifically Linda, was mentioned on Have I Got News For You over here last week. It was really odd.

Two of my favorite obscure wrestling references from songs:
Bloodhound Gang "No Rest for the Wicked": "Bodyslam ya to the ground like I was Captain Lou Albano"
Weezer "El Scorcho": "Watching Grunge leg drop New Jack through a press table"

I think that one Arby's commercial was a random mention because it wasn't Hogan himself in it and had nothing to do with wrestling unlike say the Cocoa Pebbles commercial.

Right now on Howard Stern on Demand, there's an old episode from around 2000 where Gary Dell Abate (Baba Booey) played in a charity hockey game. One of his team mates: Chris Jericho.
