WWE Video games haven't always been great(or good for that matter) but theirs always the story about said-games that brings a smile or a frown to the faces of many. My experiences being squashed by Hulk Hogan in SDvR 2006 in a mere 23 seconds and my CAW being Visa-gra'd on online mode much to my humiliation. What are some of your stories?

The Chris Jericho challenge match you can do as Rey Mysterio on the new SmackDown. It's a submission match and I'm sure it's actually impossible to win, on Legend at least. He escapes any submission before he taps out, it's ridiculous and I know some people here are having the same issue.

Since I just wanted to rush through I played it on Easy, but I had the same problem in an Elimination Chamber as Cena against Triple H; I walked on the STF like four times and every time Trips broke it immediately. I eventually said screw it and pinned him.

Beating Val Venis in a cage match on Wrestlemania 2000 for N64. That took me months- MONTHS- to do.

Smackdown vs. RAW, the first one. I'm playing through the story mode with my Christopher Daniels CAW and lose the World Heavyweight title inside the Elimination Chamber at Summerslam. So, then I'm put in a tournament of some sort to determine the next #1 contender. Fair enough, I can do that... and then I see my opponents for the tournament: Matt Hardy Garrison Cade CHUCK PALUMBO Yes, now THERE'S a main event program if I ever saw one! Even better, when I reloaded my save and tried the IC title tournament (you can choose if you want to go for the world title or the IC title) instead, it had the same freaking guys in it! Yes, apparently Yukes thought it would be too much work to put in different guys (you know, guys who might actually main event in real life) for the world title path. Anyway, I reloaded once more and went through the tournament so I could get my world title back, and I gotta say I was pretty sick of the entire game and THQ and Yukes after fighting those jobbers for four weeks in a row (in-game, obviously). Two years later I'm playing the story mode of SVR 2007 as CM Punk (CAW, obviously) and reach Wrestlemania where I'm facing Undertaker and Kane inside the HIAC. I end up having one of the best matches I've ever seen in a game, somehow surviving against those two monsters for almost 30 minutes... and then Kane knocks Punk down and hits him in the balls for the three count.

Taking about 100 attempts to beat Road Dogg and X-Pac in a handicap match in WWF No Mercy.

Does anyone else recall the part in Smackdown SYM! where you have to help Trish Stratus win a match against a male superstar but no matter what you do, the game won't allow you to win?

Day of Reckoning 2. Christian. Shawn Michaels. Kane. Cage match. Kill me. This match right here is what prevented me from buying the game. The reason why is because the first game was hard as hell... on easy!. I seriously started getting carpel tunnel in my hands from DOR 1! Not since Super Empire Strikes Back had I played a game that was this Satanically hard. But, after hearing about the cage match and how impossible it was, I decided to skip DOR 2. I admit, I don't have the guts to play it. And to this day, I still don't own it.

The Beast, known only as: Steven Richards in No Mercy. Not to mention the numerous handicap matches.

I forgot which game it was, but I think it was HCTP. I was the Hardcore champ and Batista challenged me backstage. (If it wasn't HCTP then I guess it was jut some random backstage challenge)
I was a light heavyweight...
That match included him kicking my ass all throughout backstage while I ran away and tossed weapons at him and every once in a while did a running attack and threw him off edges. I did eventually beat him with my finisher (shining wizard, about the 8th one) and it was just awful and not even worth it. (the damn hardcore championship!? who cares!)

Day of Reckoning 2. Christian. Shawn Michaels. Kane. Cage match. Kill me. Sadly this. This match wouldn't be so bad if the stamina system in DOR wasn't a piece of shit.

Attempting to pin someone in Wrestlemania on the NES.
(That's the game with Hogan, Bigelow, Savage, Honky, Dibiase and Andre)
Yes, even with a D-Pad, Start, Select two buttons of A and B, I could still never figure out how to pin someone and end a match. To this day I probably still can't do it.
AVGN needs to rip this game, by the way. This and all the bad WWF titles on the NES in one long video.
As for more modern games. I agree with the DOR 2 Cage Match.
Prior to buying DOR 2, I'd read all the stories on forums about this match, so I was prepared for it.
The tip was to make sure you changed your finisher to the Stone Cold Stunner as it was a quick move that KO'd your opponents and allowed you to get up quick enough to hit it again on the other 2 opponents before the Special metre runs out.
After a few attempts I finally beat it, using this strategy.
As for the new Smackdown games, anything involving multiple men in a ladder match. MITB matches are my enemy.
Oh....

Okay, this was my beef with Smackdown HCTP's Season Mode. As great as that game was, what I didn't like was how in season mode, if you're playing as a heel, it's basically bizarro world and the faces are looked at as heels and the heels are looked at faces. I tried to things that were heel tactics, like attack someone after a match or when the choices came during a cutscene, I tried to also do what a heel does.

One of the SmackDown vs. Raw challenges. You've to play as Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake vs. Bret "The Hitman" Hart in a Steel Cage match. You've to beat him on Legend under three minutes. Bret NEVER goes down long enough for me to climb over the cage! It wouldn't be much of a bother if you could easily restart the match, but you have to quit the match and set it up again (before the restart match feature was put in).
Oh, and playing against Undertaker with Paul Bearer as his manager on LOW. *shudder*
