I haven't been paying attention to MVP- he stopped doing that move where he gives himself a self-Rock Bottom? Because that's the worst finisher.

OK, got my flame-shield ready...............the RKO.
Yes I get the "Out of nowhere" aspect of it, but I just can't buy a finisher that looks like it would hurt the guy giving it just as much as the guy receiving it.
I remember one instance when Randy RKO'ed someone (HHH, was it?) through the announce table and all I could think was that he basically put himself through the table and took the brunt of the impact.

You do realize that not only are you insulting the best finisher in WWE today, but the best finisher in both the old days of the WWF with Stone Cold, and in WCW thanks to Diamond Dallas Page?

Yeah. I thought it looked the same when DDP did it, too.
Austin never jumped and flopped on his back like DDP and Orton though, so I never got the connection between the Stunner and RKO/Diamond Cutter.

Whatever Khali's finisher is, I'm sure it's the worst. It's a chop to the head, isn't it?

Since everyone named the REALLY awful ones (playmaker & 619 among them) I voted for a different choice - The Wasteland. I voted for it simply because Wade Barrett is a bona-fide MAIN EVENTER, someone who burst upon the scene, won NXT and is in the hottest storyline in the company, a feud against John Cena, in which he's brought out a compelling side of Cena that's been unseen for years. So, the hottest heel in the company, the guy positioned right now to take the crown and inherit the throne for years to come, has to have a killer finisher, right?
Wrong.
They give him the most boring move possible, the worst "fireman's carry into something else" move in WWE yet - just sort of throwing the guy forward. It's not "ugly but devastating", it's not "subtle but impactful", it doesn't look cool or forceful, and - and this is the killer of any finisher to me - It does NOT look like a match ender at ALL. A guy like Barrett is going to be winning some VERY high profile matches, but no Wrestlemania main event should EVER end with THAT move.

When they were running the video package at Bragging Rights before the Barrett-Orton match and added the dramatic booming sound over the Wasteland from the previous Raw, everybody with me laughed. It's actually worse than the AA, since at least Cena throws his opponent. Wade just looks like he's dropping them.

I found it really hard to choose just 3 haha harris' senton isnt good, he usually lands on them with his head almost. killswitch is ridiculous, but over last time i checked. darren young's finisher doesnt make sense at alllllll even for wrestling, and it doesnt look impactful playmaker is terrible lie detector is over the top but it looks kinda effective sometimes. i dont know what the shoutout is or who does a soop-lift DDT. so many terrible finishers

I voted "Other" because I didn't realize Barrett's finisher is called the "Wasteland." I didn't know it had a name at all. I've just been calling it the "Lie Back and Think of England."

Lie Detector - Why is this R-Truth's finisher? This should be a set up move. Playmaker - The only good thing about this being MVP's finish is that no FCW call-ups can use it. Alicia's Axe Kick - If she could hit the move, I would be fine with it. Darren Young's Full Nelson thing - How exactly does this move even work to begin with?

At least Lie Detector and Starship Pain are fun to watch.

1) Lie Detector: Truth is capable of much better moves than this yet for some reason the WWE saddle him with a crappy corkscrew elbow strike.
2) Axe Kick: Never liked the Axe Kick as a finisher, even when Booker T used it. It's just a boring, weak looking move.
3) 619: Hate the set-up for it. Always seems kinda lame and the falling splash after the move just looks awful.
4) Sweetness: No idea what this is meant to be beyond a leaping mat-slam with no impact whatsover.
In fact, there are a lot of awful finishers in the WWE. Play Maker, Play of the Day, Zig-Zag, Otunga's spinebuster, the Khali Vice Grip, Tarvers finisher, Youngs finisher, Harris' senton, Archers reverse DDT. . .
It's shocking really how bad most of the WWE finishers are. . .

Khali's finishers are perfect for him, IMHO - he's a beast, hitting someone in the head, tree slamming them, or vice gripping (which, when he was booked as a legit WT threat, was put over great) - everything looks powerful.
I vote for Barrett - he's gotta lose the Wasteland.

Whatever Khali's finisher is, I'm sure it's the worst. It's a chop to the head, isn't it? He also does the Punjabi Plunge, which is basically a two handed chokeslam. Meh.

Playmaker. It's just so unimpressive now. It used to be cool, but now it's just a generic move they give to people when they aren't sure what else to give them, it seems.

Skull Crushing Finale. Here you have THE most over heel in the company, and you give him a move that goes 2mph, always likes like a botch even when it is done correctly, and has a terrible name to boot.
Lie Detector is an insult to anyone who has ever stood up for wrestling.
