Your choice, people. I actually think TNA 2010 is slightly better, only by a little though. (until a stupid celeb is crowned World Champion again soon, probably)

Yeah, for all the griping we do, much of it deserved, TNA 2010 is still a WAY better product than WCW 2000 was. By 2000, WCW was pretty much devoid of true young talent....most of WCW's "Future Stars" were smart enough to jump ship to WWE before the ship sunk completely.
TNA, for now at least, still has a HELL of a roster, when you really think about it. TNA management/creative are just making stupid moves/decisions.

WCW 2000 was pretty much it's nadir. All the stupid booking with almost none of the good matches to make up for it...nearly everyone was tired and demoralised.
TNA 2010 is a bit of a curate's egg but to a better degree than WCW 2000.

TNA has all this talent and it's being wasted half the time.

Man I don't know if I'm just easy to please, but I'm really enjoying TNA right now and I see no way in hell how TNA right now is worse than WCW 2000, and given it's notoriety I'm surprised WCW 2000 is losing. I mean really, has TNA done anything even close as bad to giving Russo & David Arquette the world title? I can understand some people being mad right now, but TNA is nowhere near that bad.

A couple of months ago this same question came up here, and my response was that anyone who thinks that TNA is as bad as WCW 2000 could not have possibly watched WCW 2000. Now though? I can't believe I'm gonna say this, but TNA is almost as bad, and will probably dethrone WCW 2000 soon.

TNA can't be WCW 2000 for more than a year. People were comparing the two for years, but 2000 was just one year. Time doesn't work like that!

In all honesty, even when WCW was at it's absolute, bottom-of-the-barrel, most abysmal worst...there were still things on each show that I liked, enjoyed, would watch and actively wanted to see. TNA iMPACT! though? There are months, let alone shows, where there's not a single minute that I want to see.
TNA is worse. I still watch because I enjoy stuff like the MCMG Vs. Beer Money series but for the most part, I had every minute of each show.

If we're talking about which company had the worst year overall, right now I'd have to say WCW. In the beginning, TNA was actually putting on halfway decent shows now and then. There was good stuff (Angle vs. Anderson, almost everything involving Pope, Doug Williams as X Division champ) to go along with the bad (the neverending beatdown of RVD on the night of his debut after he squashed Sting, the Knockouts Championship changing hands via a slightly different Feast Or Fired type match, the Nasty Boys being there and proving beyond any doubt that they do not belong on television).
Right now, though, it's pretty much ALL bad. If it had been this awful the entire year, I might feel differently and say that TNA in 2010 was worse than WCW in 2000.

I am actually doing a paper for class on WCW in 2000, around the time where Bill Busch insanely released all of the Radicals. WCW in 2000 was so utterly horrid. I mean this company lost 60 million dollars in one year.
Thing is, WCW in 2000 had no consistency at all. Do we compare the tedious Sullivan booked shows to TNA now? Or the insane Russo/Bischoff era shows? Or the late 2000 era shows when Russo bailed and it was a makeshift booking team?
The real answer to this question of what's worse is....WCW in 1999. That was some truly hideous stuff.

The 'WCW 2000 had no young talent' thing is total bullshit. Look at who came to WWF in the InVasion, it was nothing BUT the young talent beacuse the old codgers sat on their contracts.
You had the Natural Born Thrillers, and there was about seven or eight of them including Mark Jindrak, Mike Sanders, and that guy who in WWE wasn't telling you anything you didn't already know.
You had the original Team Canada, featuring a tri-titled Lance Storm, Mike Awesome being... awesome.
As stupid as angles like the MIA were, they were giving young guys angles to do. Then there was the Filthy Animals and people like that.
Look, forget about how completely f***ing stupid the angles were in WCW in those days, everyone had something to do and it was always interesting even if it was often stupid. You never knew what was happening next.
Plus the wrestling was often amazing. Booking, terrible. Wrestling, brilliant. Check out the 3 Count vs. Jung Dragons ladder match for a gold record and a contract. Who won, when there was only two prizes? Who cares when the wrestling was that good?
Plus 3 Count was an awesome gimmick. That's heel heat, that is.

I voted for WCW, only because I thought we were voting for which is better and there is no option to retract my vote, but yeah WCW in 2000 was alot better, even though it's an apples/oranges argument in the first place

TNA 2010 is fresher in the mind, but WCW 2000 was truly repugnant.

TNA 2009 was easily > WCW 2000.
...however WCW 2000 > TNA 2010.
In fact i'm hard pressed to find something that isn't > TNA 2010. This hogan thing didn't work out.

TNA 2010
by the time 2000 came around, I totally started watching WWE full time and only watched WCW when their last epi came on.

I liked WCW then and I like it now too. It was a trainwreck but that was what made it fun. And it obviously made people talk like they wanted it to. We're here a decade later still talking about it.
TNA right now is just crappy. I'd like to care but I can't make myself. I read the spoilers and lose all interest in watching any of the show. Honestly even if we didn't get spoilers I don't think I'd make an effort to see the show...I'd just read the results after the fact like I do with RAW most weeks.
TNA has tons of great talent. They just don't know how to use them and have no direction for the company. Quit reusing major storylines involving many of the same focal people. Come up with new material already.
