I enjoyed tonight's episode. Whether it's with wrestling or promos, all I care about is that TNA entertains me... and, once again, they did just that. Me too. I thought last week was terrible but this week was very entertaining. I thought the opening was very good. My favorite part was Dixie calling Bischoff for what he is.

When a 2 hour WRESTLING show takes 1 hour and 15 minutes to get to an actual WRESTLING match, and then totals up 16 min and 10 seconds of WRESTLING, and that's by overrunning into Reaction... that's just unacceptable.
They'll pop a rating this week, maybe a 1.2-1.3, then drop down to around a 1.05 next week, cause this show isn't going to hook anyway new.
These casual fans are going to wonder why it's Total Nonstop ACTION when nothing ever happens.

This episode was pretty bad they could have done a 30 minute opening segment and flowed it right into a match. I understand you have a lot of plots you have to set up but it couldn't have hurt to throw in a X-Division and a tag match to satisfy the wrestling fans and just made the promos shorter while still getting the same set up (Do more fleshed out things on REaction) for storylines.
It just was very poorly paced.

Guess I'm part of the minority, but I enjoyed it.
I've always been a firm believer that "wrestling" isn't the key aspect in Wrestling, so, I liked getting caught up in all the twists, turns and storylines.
I've gotta say, I thought the "They" creation and build-up was stupid and convoluted..But:
I do love the approach and direction they're taking Jeff in. Little things here and there. The new song, when trash gets thrown at him and he kind of doesn't react. The "Twist of Hate" thing..the "Anti-Christ of Wrestling" thing..It's got a grungy feel to it that I'm diggign.
Also the combination of Fortune and They/Immortals/Whatever puts guys like Joe, and Pope at the forefront and spotlight to shine as top faces.

My absolute favorite part, and it got a Huge laugh out of me (for some reason..) was the backstage segment with Hogan, Eric, and Dixie: "You want me to look you in the eye?................I screwed you out of your company!" I don't know why, but that provided the laWlz for me. My favorite part was in that same segment, when Dixie was all pissed off and Bischoff is sitting there with a huge smug smile and cigar in his mouth, while using his phone to record her yelling at Hulk I laughed at that part too, he just plays the role as well as anybody.

I get the storyline thing, I do, but without the wrestling, what's the point OF the storylines?
Plus I also get what people are saying as far as needed to kinda expound on plot threads etc; but no promo, no promo should last forty five minutes. If you need that much time to explain your storyline, something's very wrong. The Fourtune/They becoming Immortal or whatever itself coulda been two weeks worth of matches and storylines itself if they didn't fly through all of it in an exasperatingly long interview segment.
I don't know, I'm all for storylines, but wrestling at its core ain't that complicated.. it's a morality play told through physicality; at its core that's it, and there comes a point where you twist and turn just for the twist's sake. And when you consider the fact that the 'twist' itself was blatant, what's the point?
I'm also not a big fan of interviews being that long that they spell out every one of their actions; even if you're only interested in the story, that's just BAD storytelling.
Show, don't tell. That idea is basic.

Well after Shelton Benjamin and Tyler Black made comments on Twitter about this episode being awful, I'm deciding to watch it now. I was gonna wait until tomorrow but I'm excited to see this crap.
Let the torture begin.

I've reached the stage where I'm laughing uncontrollably
I also like the fact that every time there's a woman on screen the cameraman lowers to their boobs.

Please can we convince RD to just put TNA as a whole up for the Gooker Award this year?

Promos are important, but when I watch a wrestling show, I expect there to be a lot of wrestling.

I should have checked out XPW then. With all of the talk concerning XPW, I don't think even last night's TNA have reached XPW bad.

This reminds me of the Nitros where we'd go an hour and 15 minutes or so from the start of the show without any wrestling whatsoever.
I hope Spoony doesn't review this show or else he might get serriously ill if he gets angry (I'm not kidding).

What's the freakin point of a Reaction overrun when you could cut 2 ou 3 dumb segments to prevent overruning? It wxas OK last week, it was a live show. But that's just STUPID to use Reaction as a show to fill the infamous lack of wrestling during iMPACT

This probably won't be a popular opinion, especially due to the total lack of wrestling on the show, but I liked Impact last night.
Despite there being almost no action, I believe the storytelling was excellent. Seeing how every storyline interweaved with another to culminate in the Immortals stable was just outstanding, including every little detail right down to Miss Tessmacher having a big mouth (and stupid face) and letting Nash and Pope in on the inner workings of the plan.
Also, did Dixie take some acting lessons between this week and last? Because she actually seemed legit pissed off that she was being forced out of the company.
