mine has to either be the power dunk or the diving catch. The power dunk never impressed me as so many people in the NBA can dunk so easily what's the point? And in baseball the diving catch or field of a grounder. Probably because its the most typical play for a baseball highlight and the season goes on forever that in the middle of July if you are watching anything with highlights you are already sick of them by then.

Yeah, NBA slam dunks are pretty much the exact same thing over and over.
Also...hockey goals....really now? They're a highlight? They all look the same half the time when they are highlights...rarely do I see any and go "wow, that was awesome"

I will also add slam dunks. Slam dunks are the most overrated act in sports simply because most NBA players dunking are 6'5" and over so whats the big deal.
Touchtown celebrations have just gotten old and they are so dumb.

They should raise the basket to 11'0"
Solely for this fun fact from a Clyde Drexler basketball card that has somehow stuck with me over the years. The card says: "An excellent leaper, Clyde once dunked on an 11'1" basket."
Dunks-boring Half court or longer shots= boring, mainly because they're purely luck 99% of the time Home Runs=Boring. Why don't they show triples?

-Slam dunks
(Unless you pull off a crazy dunk like in NBA Jam or you break the glass/ or rim with you dunk; that's fine ;D ...but if its the same dunk anyone in the NBA / NCAA / Highschool or just a pick up game can do then I do not care at all for it)
-Soccer shots
(I don't understand the hooplah over head shots or shots from incredible distances)
-Putting for albatross / eagle / or birdie
(If its not a hole in one; I don't care)

Anything not hockey related.
That's not entirely true, but it would piss me off when watching Best Damn... and they'd do a countdown shot of great plays and what looked to me like routine plays from baseball or football or basketball would cover the list and amazing hockey plays would never be on there.
Some of those football or baseball plays are amazing, but since I don't follow the sports, I guess I don't appreciate them correctly or something.

Homeruns
If you've seen one, you've seen them all. Seriously, they're all pretty much identical, yet we're supposed to go ooh and aah every time they do it like it's such a rarity. At least with dunks you can have someone humbling a defender. With a home run, it's sky, cheering fans and, maybe, an outfielder feebly jumping for it.

A Steven Gerrard goal or a volley...or any time some team scores a last minute touchdown against the Texans.

I agree on dunks, but I believe it is because of the over-saturation of dunking. When I was growing up it was not an on every play deal like it is today. So we liked seeing it. Today we have become jaded by them.

Eh, unless it's something like this,
Or this,
Or this,
I don't think it's highlight worthy.
