I was watching it the other night, part of the tribute to Leslie Nielsen, and in a 10 minute span I saw him interacting with Peter Graves, and the famous jive talking scene with Barbara Billingsly, all of whom died this year. Spooky.

Surely it can't be that bad to keep us from enjoying it.

It does make me sad. It's like when I was playing the Smackdown Vs. Raw game that came out the year we lost Eddie, and there was a storyline in the game where The Undertaker ended up chokeslamming Eddie into a casket if you won the casket match. You know, to this day, I can't watch the recording of the Eddie Guerrero memorial shows that my bud made me without having to fight to hold back the tears.

Ditto, especially at the bit where McMahon screams "Viva la raza". Sounds so primally saddened.

Surely it can't be that bad to keep us from enjoying it. Oh, I would love that movie regardless. And don't call me Shirley. (I had to. So very sorry, everyone.)

Especially when Nielsen was 84 when he died and that movie is over 20 years old

Kind of how the villains of all 3 naked gun films are all dead (if you consider anna nicole to be the villain in 33 1/3).

Yeah it's closer to 30 years old and all of the stars that have since died were at least in their 50's when it was made. Plus they all died of natural causes later in life. So to me it's not like watching Tommy Boy and thinking about Chris Farley.

A lot of the main cast of Airplane! are no longer with us. Along with those mentioned: Lloyd Bridges, Robert Stack, Stephen Stucker (Johnny) and Otto the Autopilot (Yes, the Zucker brothers confirmed this in the commentary. Otto was left in a garage and he deteriorated over time).

My favorite movie is Casablanca. Chock full of dead people.
Only recent movie to be weird watching because of a death was The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, since Heath Ledger starts of his screentime hanging from a noose.
Watching The Dark Knight wasn't weird though...because that really felt like watching The Joker and not Heath Ledger.

Really? You need to watch more silent films. They are filled with dead people, a lot of them unknown and uncredited, but their ghosts remain, gesturing in film for all time.

If that's spooky to you, don't bother watching It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad world.

Yeah, but do you freak out about watching Ghost, a movie where a now dead guy plays a dead guy?
