Im going to try to watch one of the worst seasons in order just to see how bad it was. Thank you netflix for having alot of the older seasons. 1st Episode: Elliott Gould - Over half the episode was Weekend Update, or at least it seemed that long.
- Shoe Sex+ Nose Wrestling.... Yea
- Gilbert Godfrey using his normal voice is kinda cool to hear.

Not being snarky, not being rude; just helping out -- it's Gilbert Gottfried.

2nd Episode-Malcolm McDowell - The English Stripper sketch had horrible near shot-on-shitteo feel to the camera work
- I am really getting sick of Denny Dillon
- Charles Rocket is honestly the better actor so far in the season of the regulars.
- Gilbert Gottfried sketch of Cigarettes was the best of the episode.

Episode 3- Ellen Burstyn - Seriously, Denny Dillon is BAD
- Hey look, Eddie Murphy's first appearance
- Planned Parenthood sketch was annoying and dragged on a little too long.
Episode 4 -Jamie Lee Curtis - Nice to see Jamie Lee Curtis do her famous scream in the opening monologue
- Did I mention that Denny Dillon is not that good?
- Now Rocket is starting falter. Can not remember Weekend Update sketches getting full on Boos from the crowed for bad jokes
- Look its Eddie Murphy eating dog food. To think of how Big he will be just a few years later with 48 hours, and he is eating canned dog food on live TV

At least the musical guests were mostly good, and did I mention they had Eddie Murphy. Wait till you get to episode 11, that is one of my favorite if not all time favorite sketches debuts. {Spoiler}Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood

This is exactly why I respect the hell out of SNL and the people that make it. Because once Lorne left after season 5 people thought it was gonna die but it surived do the talent of Murphy and then Ebsersol coming in to keep it afloat (abiet barely) until Lorne, Al and Tom came back in the mid-80's. Even at its worst points there is always something to lead the way to the future. SNL never fails to re-invent itself.

Yeah, they just never gave up, even when it was on the brink of death, and then boom, it's popular again. It always goes through these transitions. Right now, SNL is in it's down period, which means hopefully, some couple years from now, it'll be watchable again. I just can't sit through SNL these days without getting bored of it quickly. There is SOME good stuff once in a while, but not enough to make me go "That was a good episode". They need to get rid of Seth Myers, like, now.

I know she's the most popular cast member now, but Kristen Wiig is unwatchable on that show for me. Can't stand watching her

Can't stand watching her Yeah sometimes she can really over-do it, to the point where she reminds me of Mo Collins from MAD TV. But really, they need to get rid of Seth Myers as both head writer and cast member. I know taking over Tina Fey as head writer after she left isn't easy, but damn, does he suck.

Can I just say Bill Hader is incredible? Because he is.

I watched all of season 6 of SNL just a few months ago. It was so bad, not even so bad its good, but so bad that its really bad, until the third to last episode which is the infamous Who shot Charlie Rocket? episode, then the second to last is actually a great episode with Bill Murray as host, then most everybody got fired, and they came back for one episode with a mostly different cast and had a really good episode, but there was a writers strike and the season ended there.
Also I thought Gail Matthius was kinda hot.

Can I just say Bill Hader is incredible? Because he is. Hader is awesome. Fred Armisen, Jason Sudeikis, and Andy Samberg are great too. Kenan is OK. They can all really shine if not for the crappy writing though. Hader seems to be the only one who can take a shitty role and make it entertaining.

This is one of the more talented group of comedians they have had, with some of the worst writing. Usually it is both below average, it all till evens out in the end. I still only really truly like the show when Hartman was on it.

You can tell even the audience is bored with the sketches. There's no legit laughter, just "Oh let's just pretend to laugh so it doesn't feel awkward" kind of laughter. The last time I can remember them really laughing (and found myself laughing too) was Hader's "Stefon" character on Weekend Update last week. I can't remember another time before that.
