I didn't watch, and to be honest, this PPV kinda snuck up on me, which is not a good thing. What all happened? From looking at the Official Thread, Ric Flair got iced in the middle of the ring to end it, and apart from 3D/Guns, it was pretty much a 2 hour Cornette Face. Was it really that bad?

Matt Hardy said he LOVED it.
What else do you need to know?

We had Jay Lethal vs Robbie Shore as an opener. The entire crowd wanted Lethal to kick Robbie but good, so instead he won the match and the X-division title.
Tara vs Mickie kind of just ended when the two of them left the ring and started using broom handles and trashcans.
Guns vs 3D was good but not great. Without a feud and a decent series of matches, it just felt, I dunno, ODD.
RVD vs Dreamer fell apart midway through when Dreamer (legitimately) got injured and they didn't seem to know whether to continue or not.
I started watching the EV2/Fortune match but couldn't be bothered watching anymore.
Not sure if that gives you an idea. It just, to me, didn't FEEL like a PPV.

The whole Robbie E. push is something you knew was going to happen and knew that it would suck when it did happen. They could always bring JWOWW back to be in Lethal's corner for the rematch to neutralize Cookie, and then quickly bury this whole angle.
Am I the only one who is utterly baffled at the booking of the Tara/Mickie match? First off, this should be for the title and not some random grudge feud over something that never happened in WWE. Madison Rayne is doing absolutely nothing with the belt and they actually killed the title with a Fingerpoke of Doom specifically to get it back on her. Second, Mickie just signed with TNA and you would think she would simply steamroll Tara in her debut PPV match in order to get to Madison at the next PPV.
I have to admit...the booking of Abyss/Pope amused me when I read about it. I think it's because I joked to my brother that the fans should turn on Pope and side with Abyss, but I didn't think they would actually DO that.
Jarrett/Joe doesn't shock me. In the Impact thread I might have mentioned that Joe is destined to get buried in this feud since he isn't really the focal point, due to the heat being on Angle and Jarrett. Joe is there to job out and build Jarrett's heel heat.

What were the circumstances of Joe jobbing to Jarrett? Did he get the El Kabong or what?

Nothing special. Guns/3D was good stuff, but other than that, the wrestling wasnt great. Though one thing I liked about it was how they did all they could to keep the babyfaces strong while Immortal still won the matches. Pope was actually handling Abyss and was on the verge of winning when Bisch paid off Pope's lumberjacks. Joe kicked out of the Stroke, and then a top rope Stroke, and was dominating Jarrett until Gunner/Murphy got involved and Jarrett choked Joe out with the nightstick. Then Morgan beat Hardy clean with the Carbon Footprint, but the ref 'screwed up', allowing Hardy to sneak out with the win. For all the talk about them 'squashing all the babyfaces', I thought they did a pretty good job of keeping them strong last night.

What were the circumstances of Joe jobbing to Jarrett? Did he get the El Kabong or what? Joe pretty much squashed him for the most part, busting out a lot of moves I havent seen from him in a while, including an attempted face wash, the Kobashi corner chop flurry, the huge lariat, etc, as well as kicking out of a regular stroke, and a top rope stroke. Then when Jarrett bailed out of the ring to grab a chair, the ref went out to stop him. While Jarrett was arguing with the ref, Joe flew out and hit an elbow suicida, knocking both out. Gunner and Murphy came to the ring and Joe beat them up, with him hitting one with a Muscle Buster. But then Jarrett picked up the nightstick that Gunner/Murphy brought to the ring and took out Joe's knee before choking him out with it. When the ref woke up, Jarrett had Joe in the Coquina Clutch in the ring, and Joe was out cause of the nightstick.

It could barely be considered a PPV and I actually like TNA. The show was bad and the whole thing just had a really weird feeling to it.

After "watching" the PPV last night (which was paid for on the cable box and then the charges later dropped) I can make this statement:
TNA > Time Warner Cable

I actually....I actually went to sleep during the PPV. I've NEVER fallen asleep during a PPV in my 12 years of regular PPV viewing. I wasn't sick, or even particularly tired. I managed to catch the awesome Guns/3D match, but I don't remember anything after that.

Guns-3D was really good. And i also liked the main-event. I'll agree that all the other matches apart from that one ere bad, but i liked the main event. Am I the only one?

I think TNA has churned out some decent ppvs this year (well, any of them from Lockdown forward sans Hardcore Justice), and I even I hated it. Team 3D vs. MCMG was really the only match worth watching, it was really good. The rest of it was a waste. The Dreamer/RVD match in particular was painful to watch.

So I just watched the second half of it, from EV2/Fortune onwards, and here's my observations. EV2/Fortune. An okay match. Nothing special, but ok, the usual spots and suchlike, BUT... If you are going to do a "loser gets fired" match (and there's nothing wrong with doing that) in order for your fans to get any emotional involvement, it has to be clear exactly WHO is getting fired and the stipulations in effect that will cause them to go. This was a cluster in that respect. We only knew that "someone" out of EV2 would be for the chop if they lost, and when they DID lose (Sabu getting pinned) Tenay and Taz clearly hadn't been given a revised version of the script. They SHOULD have said, oh no, someone's going to go, I wonder who it will be? Ric Flair will be coming out at the end of the match to make the decision. Instead they muttered and mumbled about Sabu leaving, and didn't seem to know that Flair was going to come out as the "authority figure" to make the decision. The half-baked Dreamer/RVD send off came across as an afterthought as well. Pope and his congregangstaz vs Abyss. Another okay match. BUT...If you are having a match featuring your roster's biggest monster, surely the way you book it is to make said monster STILL get a clean victory, after taking out Pope AND all the Lumberjacks? It makes Abyss look unstoppable, and makes fans tune back in to see just exactly how on earth the valiant Pope is ever going to defeat the monster. But I guess Eric wanted TV time. Joe vs Jarrett was OK. No "BUT..." here, it served its purpose in keeping Joe looking strong while reinforcing Jarrett's position as the heel. I actually have no problem with Jarrett as a heel. He just needs to adopt "...no, I BOUGHT IN!" as a catchphrase. Morgan vs Hardy. Again, an okay match. Bit of a mess up with the referee's missed kickout, but then why it couldn't have just been a kickout, I don't know. Then we got to the end. And here's a big problem. If a face wins a big match, and they have the confetti and streamers and champagne and all the faces in the back come out to celebrate, it draws the fans in. It makes them feel that they have been invited to an exclusive party of sorts and are part of the fun (see Goldberg beating Hollywood Hogan back in WCW). Heels having a party? All that does is alienate the audience. They look in and see the people they wanted to get beaten enjoying themselves, and feel left out of the whole thing. It almost feels like the heels are saying "**** you" to the fans. One little thing I did like, although again it made little sense, was Mickie and Tara STILL fighting in the back area, at the end of Pope's promo. I wouldn't have such a problem with a PPV like this, if I felt that TNA were trying to give the fans what they want to see, trying, but failing. The biggest grumble I had with this as a pay per view, and the direction TNA seems to be taking at the moment, is that I DON'T feel like they are trying to give me what I want to see (or what the majority of people I ever talk about the company with want to see for that matter). I feel like TNA, since January, is giving me what THEY feel (not "THEY", they as in whoever is now writing and booking this stuff) I should want to see. And then getting snotty and uppity when I don't enjoy it as much as they feel I should. Ramble over
