Limited to Smash but I still enjoy giving her shit on it nonetheless.

My favorite tag team of all-time. They should've been in the HOF by now. They held the WWE tag titles for a record 478 days. If that's not HOF worthy then nothing is.

I've yet to meet someone that doesn't! Their heel theme for 91 sucked horrifically. Btw, someone refresh me on who Demolition Blast was?

I met them at Wizard World East last year and they were two of the nicest wrestlers I have ever met. Got my picture taken with them and when I told them they were still my favorite tag team of all time they seemed generally moved by that.

Btw, someone refresh me on who Demolition Blast was? According to Wiki.... Post WWF After leaving the WWF, Eadie began using the name Axis the Demolisher on the independent circuit and took in original "Smash" gimmick owner Randy Colley as well as Carmine Azzato under the name of Demolition Blast in an attempt to resurrect the Demolition name and gimmick.[40][41] They were sent a cease and desist letter by the WWF once they found out.

Thanks dude. This video is epic. It's a fan cam so I think I'm ok to post it.

Everyone makes fun of the S & M style outfits, but when you were watching as a kid, they were just scary dudes covered in leather and like, 100 spikes. It was a great look for the time.

See I always thought the powers of pain were more of road warrior ripoffs then demolition ever were. Heck the same exact hairdues as Animal and Hawk did.
That said.. I would take a thousand demolitions over the Road Warriors. Demolition could actually WORK! They could have awesome matches with the smaller tag teams and awesome matches with the bigger tag team. I dont remember seeing too many bad demolition matches.. I have seen a zillion road warrior train wrecks of matches

One of my fave teams, second only to the original Hart Foundation.

I still prefer the Road Warriors. In fact I would go on to say that the Road Warriors and Powers of Pain were better used in the NWA IMHO. The NWA had the Russians, Road Warriors and Powers of Pain. I always felt that Demolitian was a cheap rip off type WWE response to the Road Warriors even though the ring attire of the respective two teams was different. Smash had been Krusher Khruschev in NWA and when standing next to Nikita Koloff in interviews he did not have the chiseled physique that Nikita had.
I liked Demolitian but they were big bulky wrestlers and not muscular ripped powerhouses like The Road Warriors or the Powers of Pain were.

They also join Hogan and Jake Roberts in having defeated Andre the Giant at a WrestleMania. Demolition are my favorite tag team, bar none. Simple brawlers who I loved to watch as faces or heels.

their theme was awesome. They looked scary to me, as a little kid. Theres only a handful of tag teams I hold in the same regard as Demolition. (and how awesome is the name "Demolition" for a tag team?)

Demolition was my favorite team as a kid. Their entrance into the WWF was monumental in my continued interest in wrestling as a kid. Definately should be in HOF

Pain & destruction are their middle name! ;D
Demolition & the Rockers were my two favorite tag teams of the 80s.

I remember marking like hell when they won the titles at WMIV! Strangely enough, the whole crowd did too!
I just loved the stories the WWF told with them, they really evolved in a positive way, whereas the team they were supposed to have copied NEVER really evolved at all.
The Survivor Series double turn was very cool and confusing at the same time! Such a great, rare occurrence (at the time)!

I think what has really helped Demolition over time, too, is how incredibly generous and open they have been with their fans over the years. Ax has been an Indie main stay for a while now and has always been one of the kindest, nicest guys you'll meet. Him and Smash together again are a riot, with Smash being just as giving.
