So, Mad Maxine was a 6'2" woman who entered WWF in 1985 by The Fabulous Moolah to challenge Wendi Richter for the WWF Women's title. But before the match could even take place, she vanished from WWF because Moolah wouldn't provide bookings for her.
I remember being in awe of her because I had never seen someone like this before, plus I was a HUGE Moolah fan growing up. I really thought she was going to squish Richter and win it all.
So does anyone besides mr ever remember seeing Mad Maxine.

She got hyped on one Coliseum Video in 1985, but I think she did more in SouthWest or World Class or Mid-South or somewhere before just quiting. Much like Missing Link in the WWF - they did more elsewhere, but you were amazed in their gimmicks and sad they didn't last that long either.

I never saw her wrestle. I do remember seeing pics of her in the Apter mags back then. I could be wrong, but I think she was also called Lady Maxine and she worked in Florida.

she literally only worked 1 match for them
*edit*
Wikipedia says 2 but History of WWE says 1. either way

Her charactor was orginally suppose to be on Hulk Hogan's Rock "N" Wrestling I have heard that there was promotional artwork for the show featuring her, but I have never seen it. In fact, I don't think I've ever been able to find a picture of Mad Maxine at all.

I don't have it on me so I can't say for sure, but I remember the name.

I saw a picture with an interview with her in a paper back book about wrestling stars in the mid 80's. She had a mohawk and was part of Paul Ellering's Legion of Doom stable with the road Warriors and Lord Humungous. Suprised Mel Gibson never sued them!

That book was a bit misinformed then, as Maxine and Humongous were never with Ellering or part of the LOD stable. Maxine was actually a college student who got into wrestling as some part of her research for a thesis she was working on. Did some Florida work, her most well-known stint was in UWF as Lady Maxine, seconding Jack Victory and the Sheepherders. She was green and barely trained, could barely work, but had a great look. Shouldn't be confused with the other Mad Maxine, a much larger lady who worked in the 90s and made it into the Apter mags for beating men in her matches.

Wow, they actually got a sticker out for her! She seems like she could have been a very interesting personality for the WWF back then. Great look, freakishly tall...could have been a winner for them. Here's in interesting tidbit about her from the Wikis.
