Billy & Chuck eventually "came out" as straight. Lenny & Lodi had potential to be great, but changed gimmicks far too often for it to happen. Too Much became Too Cool, brought in Rikishi, and the rest is history.

Too much was great because when it started it was more subtle than the others.

I can't believe the Christopher Street Connection isn't an option. They did the gay tag team thing better than anyone. They would actually kiss dudes and stuff, and did gay spots (crotches to the face, etc.) the best and funniest I've ever seen them done. They even had Alison Danger as their fag hag (sorry I honestly don't know a less offensive term for that) valet.
They were great, and were the epitome of gay tag teams done in an entertaining way. They almost seemed "empowered" as they got in good offense and started to win over the crowd, although not being gay I honestly couldn't tell you if their act was offensive or in fact a symbol of empowerment to the gay community.

Yeah, that's why I put in the last option there. I'm woefully unfamiliar with RoH, although obviously I recognize some names. I had no idea the CSC did a gay gimmick, but in order to be more inclusive, I put in the "Other" option.

I believe 'fag hag' is an acceptable term.

there was a good UK tag team a few years back called team sexy, they weren't gay but they really played up the camp relationship they had, they worked really well against serious face teams. Plus it's always funny to see two ugly blokes in ill fitting trunks who think they look sexy.
Quick tip, if you want to google them it's probably a good idea to keep safe search on.

Going in a slightly different direction: Rico and Haas. Wasn't your typical "gay" team, but I really liked the progression of their team, from Haas at first being repulsed by Rico and as time went on, became more accepting of him.

Isn't one of the guys in the Christopher Street Connection legitimately gay? Just curious because I think I remember looking at one of the members' myspace a long time ago and it said 'gay' under his orientation, unless he was in character on his profile. Only wondering.
Anyway, I wonder why The Heartthrobs or The American Males aren't mentioned.
