So we're halfway through the year. How would you grade WWE so far? Be honest.
And you're welcome to state why you chose that grade if you're so inclined.

C+ There have been a pretty decent amount of quality matches, but the booking of several high profile feuds have either been confusing or totally nonsensical.

I gave it a B-, for some reason i feel i may be the only one to give it such high a rank, but i'll probably be proven wrong.
This was the first year in a while that i watched every wrestling show i could manage to, and thus my grade may be a bit inflated as such.
But anyway, here's what i figure is good an bad about the WWE in the 2000 and 3 plus 3.
Good: The return of DX, Lashley as US Champ, Rey getting a World Title run, MISTERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR KENNEDY! London and Kendrick, The return of ECW, RVD finally winning the big one, Bret Hart in the HOF, this whole Great Khali vs. Undertaker angle (i thought it was crap but it's sorta picked up steam), The return of Charlie Haas...before it got weird.
KENNEDY!
Bad: The SS as tag champs and not defending them, the fact that the HBK/Vince angle has been going into its 7th month now when it should've ended at WM22, The fact that Vince's ass has been on TV more times than anyone ever wished it was (by which i mean 0), Johnathan Coachman still has not been fired (though DX smashing his head into a wall made up for it i think), Anti-hardcore Mick Foley (it's just not working anymore, sorry Mick), Edge, the fact that Matt Hardy still is being held down, the new ECW now that Heyman has been removed from booking and Vince is TAKING OVER
it's about even in terms of good and bad but i feel that the WWE could have done a lot worse and probably stands to. but for now, B-
EDIT: hey i was proven wrong someone did give a higher rank

I almost tried to be optimistic and give it a D-, but I just could not because WWF is a F right now for sure. Just like it was in 2003 when it made me quit watching for a year it made me quit watching again. The 2 hot angles they had me excited for, DX and new ECW, have been horribly botched and are dull. Every current wrestler receiving a big push (McMahons, Spirit Squad, Cena, Henry, Khali, and Randy Boreton) are no talent jabronis who are like watching paint dry.

I gave it a C-, but the news that Heyman was booted as booker of ECW made me want to give them a D. Alternate product my ass!

I gave it a C-, it's barely passing. I thought honestly when I heard about the new ECW that it would bolster some interest, but it's basically a live Velocity taping.
Wrestlemania was good, but nothing earthshattering came from it and hopefully the 2nd half of 2006 will have some better stuff to talk about.

Lots of injuries, but a few pleasant surprises too.

Foley's very lackluster heel turn and the overuse of Eddie's name in storylines at the beginning of the year made me give it a C- as well.

Foley's very lackluster heel turn and the overuse of Eddie's name in storylines at the beginning of the year made me give it a C- as well. I toss the over use of Eddie's name into the general Smackdown is crap pile and the lame Foley turn into the general new ECW is crap pile. For reference purposes, I give TNA a F-, so WWF is still beating them. UFC gets a C, but I usually do not compare MMA directly to professional wrestling.

Not as bad as the Diesel era, but...
I gave it a C+, just slightly above average.
There have been some cool suprises, but sadly the amount of things they've botched or just destroyed the potential of, brings the grade down a lot.

Only Mickie James, Lashley's rise, Shelton/SuperCrazy/Mysterio matches, and a few other small things have been watchable this year so far. C+

I gave it a B. Smackdown gets some slack cut because they are going to CW network and almost everyone got hurt at a bad time. Raw has been great and Mickie James has stepped up as well as John Cena who unlike some I can handle being world champion for long periods of time.
The second half of the year better include Orton getting jobbed out (Hogan or Conway it doesnt matter so long as Orton loses) and Mr Kennedy deserves a big push. Khali better lose to taker and they have got to get some guys on SD healed up and back in the game so we can have some better fueds.

I'd give it a C. Right near the middle.

D... The show that's exposed to the highest number of homes in the US (SmackDown) is now on Fridays, new ECW totally botched, God at Backlash, Eddie-overload, SmackDown champion being jobbed out, Mama Benjamin, May 19th, 5 on 1 or 2 handicap matches 3 weeks in a row...
While there have been a few positives like (RVD finally holding the belt) this has overwhelmingly been a down year. I didn't grade it an F because I save that for stuff like WCW's 2000, a year that actually killed the whole company.

C+, I wouldnt call it a bad year by any means, but at the same time it hasnt been a great year either. Right in the middle. I have enjoyed a lot of stuff, like RVD's title win, Lashley being elevated, the overall turn of SD to having a lot more in ring action, the SPIRIT SQUAD!, Kennedy's return, and others.
I think the 2nd half of the year can be a lot better, depending on what they do with events like SummerSlam and Survivor Series. The new ECW, Vince McMahon run or not, can still produce some good matches and angles if allowed to, I guess only time will tell.

Some things I liked in '06 so far:
Rey winning the world title Edge winning the WWE title Trish/Mickie feud Lashley/Booker's Court feud
Things I didn't like:
Constantly bringing up Eddie Guerrero in storylines The booking of Rey's world title reign The constant handicap matches involving Spirit Squad vs. any combo of Cena/HHH/HBK Edge's title reign ending after only 3 weeks
Everything else ranks in the middle. So because of that, I'll give WWE a B-.

Mickie / Trish ruled the world, but McMahon f***ed it by killing it early. The replacement Beth program has gone no place. I can not argue against a D, but if I had a gun to my head I would still spit out F.

Not an F by any means....but nowhere NEAR anything above a D, mainly for those reasons already stated above.
