I need some help with the tv I just got. While I'm watching tv shows, there's a occasional hiccup to the picture.
Now for some of the technical details. It's a LG High Def (1080p), and I've got dish network, standard definition. Is there something I can do to get rid of the hiccups?
I have no problems with hiccups while watching DVDs or playing games on the tv. Any advice will be appreciated.

Sounds like a signal problem to me. My LG has never given me any problems.

I didn't have the problem with my previous tv which was a regular tube tv, so I didn't know if there was some kind of setting I should play with to fix the problem.

Hmmmm...given I used to help my dad with Dish Network installs, I might have a couple of ideas.
It could be something as simple as the connection of your cables from your receiver to your TV. Which receiver are you using? I know the 600 series was prone to problems in the beginning, but they seem to have sorted that out now. I'm still faithful to my 512, which has served me just fine since my 620 crapped out.
If it wasn't something that happened with your CRT, then you have to establish what's different here. Were you using RCA's with your CRT, or were you running straight coax? Coax is less prone to signal loss than RCA, and I don't have enough experience with HDMI to form an opinion there.
Worse comes to worse, you can start by calling Dish and asking them (their customer service is tops), and if that doesn't work, call LG and see what they can advise.
