Steiner hasn't been intresting since his WCW days circa 99-01.
(When he should have been fired for the unscripted Flair burial promo, threatening road agents, unscripted promos on DDP/Kimberly and generally just being a 'roided up asshole, instead he was given push after push)

The Batista character is appealing to kids like Austin was the appeal to me when I was young. To a child he is the biggest and toughest son of a bitch on the roster. He is very similar to John Cena, women find him attractive and children cant get enough of him. The only difference is a lot of guys wont boo him.
Batista will remain to have the huge build becuase the smackdown product is being built around him.

Steiner doesn't suck as bad as he did in WWE. His match against Sting in TNA was actually decent, and his match against Joe was good. Even if he was still complete garbage, I would take him over Batista any day of the week. Steiner Screwdriver anyone? Look at that move and tell me that wouldn't hurt as bad as a Batista powerbomb. Even Steiner's suplexes look more painful than Batista's powerbomb. Agreed...I think. They should have had Batista win the title at Summerslam then have Triple H/Flair/Orton turn on Batista, then have Batista lose the title to Triple H a few months later and fall into obscurity. Then they needed to play the storyline out from there, have Orton in Batista's place, and have Orton win the title at WM21. He's only had 2 recent matches, 3 if you count the Lockdown match. Uhh...I don't think anyone has ever that. People, can you understand #1 - People don't watch indy wrestling for workrate. #2 - People don't watch indy wrestling for "20 flips off the top rope." Loads of people call Batista "Tista", it's just a nickname...god damn.... Wow, he botched something. Guess what...Batista botches too. "OH MY GOD! NO WAY!" EVERYONE DOES BOTCH BUT THATS JUST AWESOME. LOL

How long did Steiner wrestle Joe and Sting, anyway? I'd be shocked if either went for more than fifteen minutes or even more than twenty combined. With Joe, the match is probably considered good or even great because Joe layed in some stiff strikes and Steiner didn't actively suck, and possible because the match was in TNA, not WWE. It's not like Steiner sucked so much that all signs of life and entertainment were sucked into a vortex every time he stepped inside a WWE ring; [glow=red,2,300]I'm sure if you'd replace Test with Flippy McJetsam you'd have TNA and ROH marks clamouring, "Wow, this doesn't suck nearly as much as we thought it would!"[/glow] I suppose this makes Steiner better in the ring than Batista or something, not that anyone'd would go out of their way to watch one of Batista's twenty-minute workrate fests or anything like that. Sorry, that wouldn't happen. Believe it or not, people don't think like that. Sting vs. Steiner was on Impact, so it was about 8 or 9 minutes. Joe vs. Steiner was close or more than 20 minutes. I guess you were being sarcastic when you put "Batista" and "workrate" in the same sentence.

i just read everything, and i'm going to ignore the Steiner part of this entire conversation, because regardless of how good his match with Joe was, it still doesn't change how horrible his 'E run was...
As for Batista, I think the reason he has so much appeal is the fact is the snap factor. Normally, you'd see Batista on TV wearing a nice suit, sunglasses, smiling, but then he gets in the ring and he's just this monster... Batista's just got this charisma that gets across really well on TV... He may not be so good on the mic, but it's miles ahead of Rey Mysterio if that means anything... He's also one of the few recent champions that you could actually believe could beat everybody up... I really enjoyed him...

When it comes to Steiner and Batista, Steiner was one of the best workers in North America during his prime and Batista has never been that good. Ever.

When Steiner came back to WWE in late 2002, he wasn't in ring shape and didn't even get to wrestle a match before his match with Triple H at the Royal Rumble. After two awful matches with Triple H (who worked with a torn groin for most of the year, and never wrestled except for PPV matches), he was completely buried and badly booked, and spent most of 2003-04 fighting Test for Stacy Keibler.
Steiner has been booked much better in TNA as the unpredictable freak and enforcer, and his wrestling has improved as well.
Also, when Batista shakes the ropes like that, is he crying or taking a crap?

Nah. It's just what he does during his comeback phase of the match.

He still looks like he's crying and throwing a tantrum, like Mommy didn't buy the toy he wanted. It's a really bad facial expression, is all.

Sorry to continue the Steiner/Batista comparisons... but does Steiner have any expressions other than looking like a 'roided up deer in front of a pair of headlights?

You want to talk ab out being bad onb the mic there are few worse the Steiner. HIs mat skills are poopy, they have been poopy since his days in the old WWF. And the reason he was better then was becuase he wasnt roided up and the wrestling product had not changed in the last 30+ years.
Sorry I am on the Steiner is poop boat. I am all for Batista.
