I hate how such generic patents are granted. It really is such a screwed up system. People should only be able to patent something material that they have to show in it's final stages, rather than being able to patent vague concepts that are intentionally broad so they can sue anyone smarter than them who can actually make it.

So I can patent time travel now, then just sit on my ass and wait until some hard working scientist does all the hard work inventing the thing. And when he or she does, I just sue them... Yeah thanks Doc

Seriously. I don't think you should be able to make a patent unless you have, at the least, a working prototype of it, otherwise, you are just being a patent troll. These Patent Trolls were given this particular patent back in 2002, and in the 9 years they've held it, they have yet to make a website that does what the patent says. In other words, they were just sitting back waiting for a website to vaguely fall into the definition of the patent and for that site to become popular and sue the pants off of them. Asshats....

Yeah thanks Doc But the person who invents time travel can just go back in time and buy the patent before you do. Mind = BLOWN.

So, if these celebrities meet in person at, say, a star-studded event, VS Technologies can sue said event for allowing famous people interact with each other.
I know it sounds stupid, but so does this dumbass lawsuit.
