I really miss the WWE version of ECW. From summer of 09 until it's end, it was so good. It was just a good solid hour of wrestling. Christian, Goldust, Zack Ryder, William Regal, Yoshi, and Shelton were the stars of the show. Good stuff all around. I wish it were still around today. It could make the guys on Superstars relevant.

I miss it too. I miss how jobers or lower midcarders on other shows could get a stage to shine on and become main eventers.

I believe if it were not for ECW, Zack Ryder would be no where near as popular around here as he currently is. That's what showcasing your talents every week can do for you.
I too miss late ECW. At least it went out on a high note.

I don't really understand why they couldn't just turn Superstars into ECW or just have Superstars be a brand. I mean they could have the same guys and same matches, but have a belt and have storylines.

The thought "I miss ECW" comes into my head at least four times a week.

The thought "I miss ECW" comes into my head at least four times a week. I used to watch it at midnight on Friday nights on Global here in Canada. It was the perfect end to my work week. I miss it so much.

ECW, it's problem was, it was looked down upon. Made to be meaningless, and I think that's why the ratings were low on it. If the roster was a bit bigger and the belt was made out to be something important, it would be a big help. I think if they had a third brand like that, they wouldn't have any need to let go talented wrestlers, and have a different group book and write that particular show.

I didn't see much reason for killing it honestly, it was getting better ratings than TNA.

I didn't see much reason for killing it honestly, it was getting better ratings than TNA. It's also getting better ratings then NXT was. ECW rarely got below 1.0, while NXT has the opposite problem. And if ECW never got cancelled, EV2.0 would've never existed.
