I couldn't tell you the exact match, but a friend's brother had the remote, flipped around and found the WWF. It was Andre the Giant and I think he was taking on 3 ham-and-eggers at once, piling them on top of each other and sitting on all 3 for the pin. He smiled, he waved, he was unlike anything I've ever seen before in my life. Then, Ken Patera and Big John Studd came in the ring and beat him down ("into unconsiousness" as Vince would say). Patera locked on the full-nelson and Studd went into this bag and brought out a pair of scissors, cutting the Giant's lion-like mane to the horror of everybody in the crowd.
Not only did I get hooked, it was probably one of the craziest angles ever. Nobody just got up in Andre's face like that. McMahon sounded like he was about to cry; he was just so horrified.

I believe it was DX-X-Pac Vs Armour-Plated-D-Lo-Brown for the European Championship.
Or it was a tag team/4 way match between Austin, Mankind, Taker and Kane.

In 1985 my dad brought home a video rental of one of those Colliseum compilations. The match that stood out to me (the rest didn't register) was Snuka vs Backlund. I'd glance at WWF shows before that but nothing interested me so I can't remember any specific match.

I had a lot of tapes, but I would guess Rock/Austin from Backlash 99, including "Where to Stephanie?!"
I still love that moment.

I couldn't tell you the first match, but I remember a few things... I lived in New Jersey when I was a kid and we used to get WWF on MSG Network regularly. One of the first things that really grabbed me was that tag team, "The Machines". The first feud that sucked me and turned me into a fan was Macho Man/Steamboat in the lead up to Wrestlemania 3. I had been watching it prior to then and I remember having a piracy box and watching Wrestlemania 2. I was like 6-7-8, so its hard to pinpoint exactly when I started, but that particular feud is what made me love it and want to go to live events.

I distinctly remember when Hogan beat the Sheik! It was a huge deal amongst my uncle and his friends. Although they were angry (This is the same uncle who proclaimed Hogan had AIDS). I couldnt understand why they didnt like him. Also..this thread makes me feel old.

I started with the AWA becuase I live in the Midwest. So my first pro match was The Blackjacks with Bobby Heenan as manager in the old Chicago arena adjacent to the stockyards.

I can't remember the very first, although it was probably on a Sunday Night Heat between Wrestlemania X7 and Backlash 2001. The first one I can really remember is Kaientai VS Kane and Undertaker in a hilarious squash match.

Triple H w/ Chyna vs Goldust w/ Marlena.
Thus began my life long love affair with The Ninth Wonder Of The World.

The Headshrinkers vs some tag team on Raw. I remember they showed a promo for that night's Raw after TMNT went off that morning, I asked my mom if I could watch it that night and I've been a fan ever since.

Iron Shiek/Volkoff vs The Killer Bees
I remember the Bees putting on their masks mid way throught the match and not tagging in or out behind the refs back and the ref didn't know the difference.
6 year old me couldn't understand why people would cheer for cheaters.

Don't really remember. Sometime in 2001, and all I remember is that at the time The Undertaker had the Hardcore title.

I don't recall, but I remember the first Raw I watched in full had Austin and Big Show destroy the titantron. It also had Shamrock destroying Christian.
