wow, so many people in here making me feel old. I honestly can't remember the first match I saw. I started watching as a young child in the 80's and I remember seeing guys like Brutus Beefcake, Jake the Snake Roberts, and Nikolai Volkoff crushing random jobbers on television. The bigger names like Hogan, Savage, Andre would only do promos with Mene Gene. Nothing was ever too memorable back then for me. The TV shows I remember watching were better at hyping upcoming PPVs than they were at showing good matches.
The first show I have an honest-to-goodness memory of watching is WCW Uncensored '95. Probably because this was my first PPV. I remember being excited for this PPV based on the build. I had been watching WCW every week by that time, but nothing from TV really stands out in my memory. (Too many drugs over the years. lol) This card featured the Blacktop Bully and Dustin Rhodes in the infamous King of the Road match (which I loved at the time) and Hogan vs. Vader in a strap match. These are the matches I remember the most.

My uncle showed me the beginning of Undertaker/Yokozuna from Survivor Series 94, but I believe the first full match I saw was Bret Hart V. Hakushi from the first In Your House. It was that or the handicap match with Razor Ramon against Jarrett and The Roadie.

The first wrestling I saw was a tape of Wrestlemania III, so whatever the opening contest for that was, JYD vs Harley Race maybe? My brother and I heard about Andre vs Hogan from some kids at school and then we went and rented the tape, that's how I originally got into wrestling.

Mine was Cena and RVD vs Booker T and Rene Dupree. I just remember Undertaker attacking everyone after the match. This was in 2004

I started with the AWA becuase I live in the Midwest. So my first pro match was The Blackjacks with Bobby Heenan as manager in the old Chicago arena adjacent to the stockyards. The Ampitheater, just south of Comiskey Park? (I wanna say on 31st?) Never been there, but heard the crowd was always bananas. The last wrestling show I recall that was there was AAA's TripleMania in like May of 1996, then the wrecking ball brought it down.

A random match on Smackdown during April of 2005. It somehow made me a fan of Eddie Guerrero.

Some Smackdown in 2000. The Radicals vs Too Cool. The first wrestling move I remember was Grand Master Sexy's Hip Hop Drop on Perry Saturn. Good times...

On TV or live?
Live it was a house show around 1991 or 1992. Only match I remember was a battle royal in which the last 2 were Flair and Hogan. Flair won in the exact same way Stone Cole won his first Royal Rumble (eliminated but snuck back in.)
TV was probably Summerslam 1991.

I've been watching wrestling off and on since I was an infant so I really have no idea what the first match I saw was. I know that the first match I remember watching was a battle royal when I was 4 or 5. Sadly I don't even remember who was in it, I just know that for the next year or so I was disappointed when I would find wrestling on TV and see only 2 guys in the ring. Now I hate battle royals besides the Rumble. Kinda crazy huh? EDIT: My other early wrestling memory is of watching Superstars one morning and getting really mad because there was some Bob Holly vs. Jobber match that lasted for damn near 20 minutes. The reason it made me mad is because I thought if they'd just hurry up and finish the match, Tatanka would be on next

I believe that it might have been Putski/Martell vs. The Wild Samoans. Is that going back far enough? Cannot say that I paid that much attention to the WWF until Hulkamania hit though. I lived in CWA territory.

I have a vague memory about renting and watching the Royal Rumble where Yokozuna won (1993?) So I guess it would have to be that by default.
The first match I vividly remember though was some WCW match involving Chris Benoit and Booker T which involved Booker being trapped in a Crossface for an incredibly long time.
The first match I recall WWE wise is sadly Mae Young vs child birth. I wish I was joking.

Stone Cold vs. Rikishi at No Mercy 2000. Before that I hated wrestling (mainly because my dad would always have it on when I wanted my cartoons on damnit!), but with my mum at the shops and no one there to defend me, I sat down and watched it with my dad. I didn't really pay attention to most of the matches, but I can remember snippets of the Dudleyz Invitational Tables match and the cage match between Jericho and X-Pac. I saw the video package for Austin/Rikishi, was interested in the angle (Austin returning from being run over by Rikishi) and immediately cheered on the Texas Rattlesnake to win. He didn't (it was a no contest after Austin hit a police car while trying to run over Rikishi) but I was hooked from then on. 10 years of being a wrestling fan, and I look forward to many more years.

Bret Hart vs. Roddy Piper for the WWF Intercontinental Championship at Wrestlemania VIII is the first one I remember. I was 3 and a half. I think that's my oldest memory.
