Anyone know of the latest rumors of the frontrunners to host the 2012 event?

hopefully miller park in milwaukee. it has a retractable roof and can seat around 50,000 or so. if the weather was more predictable up here this time of year, i'd say have it in lambeau field in green bay.

Wow, I just posted this idea in the WMXXX topic. You beat me to it. Too bad I didn't see this first. Miller Park would be an awesome PPV venue, I agree with you.

In an effort to be even more kid-friendly, WWE is planning on holding Mania 28 at a Chuck E. Cheese's.

It's believed to be the Rogers Centre in Toronto.

I heard that Orlando wanted Mania again at some point, they pretty much came out at some point this year and said that, thought it was somewhere around 28-29.

Toronto Roger's Centre (SkyDome) was the front runner last I heard. I know it could be cold, but a setup akin to WM24/26 would be possible in the Roger's Centre. Check out this pic from the U2 360 tour to see what I mean... www.flickr.com/photos/news46/3927331753/in/photostream/

And St. Louis gets the shaft again, apparently.

And St. Louis gets the shaft again, apparently. well, i was watching the rams/49ers game, and raymond james dome does look pretty good for the event. or how about the louisiana superdome?

Kind of surprising they've never attempted to host one in the Superdome in New Orleans. Wrestlemania & Mardi Gras? What a great combination! Why hasn't this been done yet?
EDIT: Quit beating me to all my ideas, above poster!

If it is gonna be CEna-Taker as main event, I guess they should go for Cowboys stadium to set new records. That main event could draw really huge.

Indy needs Wrestlemania again, and 28 is perfect being the 20 years since the last one there. Good location too, with plenty of major cities and areas nearby in terms of travel.

Go with the Conor O'Brian suggestion and host it in Pee Wee Herman.

Miller Park would be great for a location the retractable roof would assure no weather messes, but most importantly this would make it very possible that I could maybe if I getmy financialy sitaution better to go to my first WM

For a while, WrestleMania had a trend of following the Super Bowl the following year in that city. Well, why not do it the same year this time around? Indy gets the Super Bowl next year, give us WrestleMania as well. Hell, even throw in a UFC Super card while we're at it.

In regards to the Superdome, I'd guess that early on it was the issue of NOLA being Mid-South/WCW territory. Then there is the issue of the palms that have to be greased when dealing with anything in the state of Louisiana, sort of akin to why it's so much easier to run in Rosemont, IL rather than in Chicago proper (i.e., the Allstate Arena rather than the United Center, despite being a difference of 7,000 seats or so, depending on setup.

And St. Louis gets the shaft again, apparently. Brother, I live two hours from you. St. Louis is one of the greatest wrestling cities in the world, with lineage that goes as far back as Harley Race, Ric Flair, The Funks, Rocky Johnson, Dick the Bruiser, and Sam Muchnick. That said, the dome wouldn't be filled and WWE is going to depend on a hotbed city for their biggest show of the year.

Superdome officials were said to have been bidding on WrestleMania XXX, last I heard.
