Trying to do a clasic element + monster thing, and while you have things like a Salamander for Fire, a Thunderbird for Lighting, Cerebus for Lava (Hell and all that), I can't think of one for Metal.
More in-the-know crappers, help a brotha out.

Specific Metals? Not so much, generally you either run into various constructs (Colossi and Golems), or a Creature obsesed with either "Treasure" in general or a specific treasure that it guards (Dragon, Leprechaun, Unicorn)
The closest thing to a "Metal" Elemental creature would be Dwarves. More specifically Old Depictions of Dwarves as miners and Metalworkers.
Another route you may want to take is look more toward the "Earth/Stone" elemental creatures and go from there.

Yeah, all purpose, like Iron/Steel/Whatever. I was thinking of a Golem, because of this: www.vgmuseum.com/mrp/NewCV/cotmweapons.htmAs my quasi-OCD can't accept Earth & Stone being seperate. Like Rock & Ground from Pokemon.

The Gorgan sisters, the most famous of which is Medusa, had bronze wings and claws as well now that I think about it.

Yeah, Metal isn't a classic element. Metal is probably a compound between Earth and Fire Atoms. I say probably, because I never took Alchemy in college.

Bah! I go with Greek Pseudo-Sciences over Chinese Pseudo-Sciences any day! But yeah, not many creatures of metal. Metalworkers, sure. The Elder Cyclops, Vulcan. Metal Slime, but that's not really ancient. I suppose Scorpion-men of Sumerian Mythology are armored, and might fit the bill. Same could be said for a Dragon, or the Crab Cancer.

You can also check out medieval bestiaries as well as the Book of Imaginary Beings by Jorge Luis Borges. From Borges' book, you have the Alicanto, a bird that eats gold and is thus chased away by miners. Here's a digital bestiary: bestiary.ca/

Kobolds are related to cobalt, they are a Germanic type of gnome creature.
Gremlins are associated with machines and breaking them.
Perhaps the Gargoyle but they are usually made of stone.
None o these are classical though, as metal usually killed mythological monsters, like the chimera died due to lead tipped lance.
