So I'm lounging around while browsing the interwebz, when all of a sudden my entire block loses power, later I find out it's not only my block but a bunch of other streets too. Then my best friend, who lives a block away from me, calls me up and asks me if I saw the strange thing in the sky, which led to an extremely huge flash of blue/pink light, which (I'm guessing) caused the power loss. He babbles on that it could be a UFO and whatnot, but I just shrug him off. Then as I'm talking to him, my mom overhears me and says she saw the same strange flash of blue/pink light, so I'm thinking at this point "Ok, that sounds like lightning". We're also in the middle of a huge snow storm.
So after about 3 hours of no power, the power comes back on. I log into facebook, only to see a bunch of my friends from my city say they saw the same weird thing in the sky, followed by the blue/pink flash. No one could really explain what it looked like, they just say it was a weird ball of light blue and purple colors. That's too much of a coincidence that everyone saw the same exact thing.
I don't know what to believe.

It was possibly Jim Carey, Damon Wayans, and Jeff Goldblum trying to find Zack Morris's mom. (Refer to my Jackrabbit $lim is still at large thread for this post to make even limited sense.)

I wanna see a UFO Anyway sounds interesting man, I tend to believe these stories a lot more when it's multiple people that have seen it.

It wasn't a UFO. Well, technically it could have been, being that it was unidentified, but that doesn't mean aliens or whatever. Plus, people in mass have been said to have seen things before. I know one event happened in Portugal, but I forget what.

A few weeks ago, around 3 a.m., I was driving home (I have no idea where I was coming from, I think a friend's house) and seen what I thought was a shooting star. It went directly into the cornfield, so I went to investigate, just in case there was an off chance it was a UFO. I didn't see any remnants of a UFO or anything else for that matter, so just chalked it up to a shooting star.
The next day, though, there were news reports of people seeing a UFO around 3 a.m. I still think it was a shooting star, but still find it cool that others seen it.

Probably a strange combo of a thunder storm and lighting hitting thick clouds and lighting them out, then causing the power out-age :/

I saw one that was bone shaped with lights on either end, slowly move across the entire length of the sky then, in an instant, snap in the complete opposite direction across the entire length of the sky again in a split-second.
I definitely don't think it was aliens, but I have no idea what it was.
