Because of the rain, I couldn't work today and because of that I have to work on Friday now.
In case you are wondering I am a scaffold builder, and they don't want us to work in the rain. Usually we work 4 10 hour shifts Monday through Thursday with a 3 day weekend every week.

Maybe it'll rain on Friday? Then I'd have to work Saturday.

Do you work on the really high buildings? I couldn't handle that because those beams look really thin in the movies...

I landed a job where I get to stay on the ground and send the material up to the top and help with the construction on the ground levels. I could climb and make more money, but right now I am happy making what I making with my feet firmly on the ground.

I have gone up a select few times, and its not that bad, you are tied off at all times (well thats if you actually do it) and there are bars and such so you can't exactly just walk off of the scaffold or anything like that.
