So I've been waiting for new episodes to start for Smallville, and I go to turn on the CW, and it's showing a repeat from last of the Vampire Diaries. Thanks CW, b*******!

I was the same way, only for Supernatural, which may as well be the red headed stepchild of that network. It's crappy enough to do that after over 5 weeks of being off, but then you announce it with just around 24 hours to go before the premier. One of my friends showed me the release this afternoon and it bummed me out. CW is the more quiet version of NBC when it comes to being bumbling idiots sometimes. Not for new run episodes or something, but for reruns, because apparently no one in their organization had the brains to check to make sure American Idol wasn't on. They were "blindsided" by Idol? Wouldn't that be like being blind sided by a sky scraper falling on you? Jeez.

I was the same way, only for Supernatural, which may as well be the red headed stepchild of that network. Of course it's the red headed stepchild, it and Smallville aren't targeted towards Dawn's precious demographic she wants so bad. The CW, worst run network, possibly ever. The treatment of Smallville and Supernatural shows that, both shows are afterthoughts when it comes to promotion. There was also the whole mess with not picking up Aquaman. Yes, CW don't pick up Aquaman when the Aquaman episode of Smallville did huge ratings for the WB, and when critics saw the pilot they praised it, and it had Lou Diamond Phillips and Ving Rhames, and was praised by comic fans and when the pilot was released on iTunes it was a big seller. I can't see any reason why you would want a show like that.

Yeah, I tuned in for Supernatural tonight, only to stare in disbelief that it was Nikita instead.

Jamie Kellner is secretly in charge of CW.
It's part of the bigger picture.

I shutter to think that if it does get picked up what the hell is Raven gonna end up as...oh and thats teen titans raven for anyone that did not know.
And smallville is returning on Feb 4th.
But yea F**** dawn hate that woman and anyone thats a betting man knows she will ditch the network as soon as smallville and supernatural comes to there conclusions , and she will leave the sinking ship in someone elses hands to take the blame.

What's especially obnoxious is that Supernatural, despite not being quite up to par this year, did manage to get a TV Guide cover based on the enthusiasm of its fanbase. And how does the CW capitalize on this publicity? By shifting the end of hiatus with practically zero advance notice. Brilliant people running that network.

At least the main idiot in charge of the CW, Dawn Ostroff, is leaving after this TV season ends.
She and Dixie Carter must share the same brain.

Thanks for the return date.
And I agree, two of their stable shows that have given them solid steady ratings and not publicizing a shift in return dates is quite silly.
On another note, how long til CW dies off?

It's even worse if you live in the Chicago area and your CW affiliate is WGN. (I sympathize, I'm a Hellcats fan.)
Your show is getting pushed "the return" or "the new season begins!" This Wednesday! Turn on Wednesday, the Bulls are on.
Then there's the make-good, "Oh, we'll replay it Sunday night at 7pm for those that missed it!" The weekly Sunday Blackhawks games start at 6pm on Sundays, you morons.
I don't see WGN sticking with the CW for much longer. It's a big hassle (I gave up on the new 90210 because of this horrid scheduling), and it's a lot like RVD said in the Rise + Fall of ECW: "Sometimes it was on, sometimes it wasn't on. A lot of fans had to work really, really hard to find us.")

I was pissed about no new Supernatural. I think they just didn't want their two best shows going up against Fringe. Which is lame, I just want my Supernatural on time damn it.

CW showed how stupid they were when they could not wait to wash their hands of Smackdown, which was easily their highest rated show at the time. You don't see any other network dumping their hit shows. If anything, they tend to oversaturate their airwaves when they get a hit.

Well, they're replaying the last episodes before the winter break of Smallville(Icarus) and Supernatural(Appointment in Samarra) Wednesday night.
