I don't know if anything was posted about this, but the star of Russ Meyer's cult classic Faster Pussycat Kill! Kill! passed away on the 4th of heart failure.
That movie, and especially that outfit of hers, were young men's regular saturday night thing.
Here's a great clip of her kicking some ass.

RIP...This is really sad news, especially for those of us who are into "cult" films like the ones that Meyer used to make.
Try as they might, Hollywood will never find another Tura Satana...or another Kitten Natividad, for that matter.
You know, Kash, sometimes I sit there and wonder where in the HELL Russ Meyer found such lovely, buxom women. I search and I search, and nothing...but he seemed to have access to an exclusive location that produced some of the bustiest, most beautiful women I have ever seen.

He knew what he liked. I knew Russ and Natividad were "intimate" for a while.

He knew what he liked. I knew Russ and Natividad were "intimate" for a while. If I were him, I would have been "intimate" with a LOT of his actresses. I too, know what I like...and it's exactly what Russ liked. ;D Weren't he and Roger Ebert close friends, incidentally? I find that amusing simply for the fact that Ebert, a person who (for many people) epitomizes the term "film snob", used to rub elbows with a guy who produced such wonderful, cheesy B-grade cinema. ;D Back on topic...I think I may just search Something Weird Video's backlist and see if I can't find some of Tura's work that's not so mainstream.

R.I.P. Tura Satana. You were always one of my favorites. Weren't he and Roger Ebert close friends, incidentally? I find that amusing simply for the fact that Ebert, a person who (for many people) epitomizes the term "film snob", used to rub elbows with a guy who produced such wonderful, cheesy B-grade cinema.;D Made even more amusing by the fact that Roger Ebert wrote "Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls". One of my all-time favorite Myer Movies.

A true legend of B-movies. The film I'll always remember her by was Ted V. Mikels' The Astro-Zombies. She was also in the sequel, but I've yet to see it.

Very sad. After reading her life story on Wikipedia, it sounds like she'd been through a lot... Rest in peace, ma'am. EDIT: Made even more amusing by the fact that Roger Ebert wrote "Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls". One of my all-time favorite Myer Movies. Ebert also co-wrote several other Meyer movies (like "Up!") under an assumed name.
