Was I the only one who caught this comment from JBL last night? During the Tatanka vs. Simon Dean match, Cole and JBL were talking up Tatanka's native american backgroung and then JBL said, "Ive got an Indian background myself. My grandfather was a high chief slap-a-ho".
I laughted for a good while after that.

JBL seriously needs someone better than Cole to work with. Cole seems unwilling to work with JBL, who is fast becoming a cheap man's Heenan.

Cole does seem to be the weakling of the duo. I don't see why they don't let JR call both shows. They could easily get around the brand issue by saying that when JR was rehired he was rehired by WWE thus not by any particular brand so is free to work both shows.

Even better idea: Cole was at least tolerable with Tazz, so here's the set-up: Remove Tazz from ECW and return him to Smackdown (Joey Styles works better alone), can Lawler, pair JBL with Ross on Raw. Problem solved.

JBL has found a great niche. We really didn't have any heel commentators left. Well done.

Don't let Cole hear you guys saying this stuff, he might get angry at you.
Afterall, he's hosted a national TV show for three f***ing years, what have you done, f**ckers?? Blah blah [more Cole ranting].
I'm with you guys. Never liked Cole from day one.

Cole and JBL have no chemistry together at all. I dont believe that's something that you simply have from the get go. I believe that the two did little, if any, practice before being on air together. I think the two can definitely improve given time, but for me Cole adds little or nothing to any match. I wouldnt mind seeing/hearing Josh Mathews getting a shot at SD play by play. He might work better with JBL.

Josh Mathews/JBL dynamic would probably work better. Mathews plays into the whole "you stupid nerd" role that heels generally throw at Cole. Cole usually tries to ignore comments about his sexual orientation or his lame nerdy appearance or his overall pussiness.

JBL has some good zingers, but damn, HE NEVER SHUTS UP.
He might have more of an impact if he didn't yammer on nonstop.

Cole's problem is that he takes himself, and the product, far too seriously. I'm sick of him trying to portray himself as some legit, credible commentator for the damn NFL or something. If he has been brought in to host a shot featuring midgets, gays, clowns and dead men, then he needs to loosen up a little. He has ZERO chemistry with all who work with him.
Besides that, can anyone name one legendary call that Cole has made? One catchphrase? One famous quote? JR has a ton of them...Cole? NOWT.

They both kinda suck. But the "Chief Slapaho" comment was funny.
