Last night's halftime show courtesy of the Black Eyed Peas seems to be arguably the most polarizing performance in recent Super Bowl history. Some have already taken to the internet to call it the worst halftime show in Super Bowl history (Yahoo and the New York Times as two examples) while other outlets have proclaimed it as the most innovative and spectacular act in the 45-year history of the game (Bleacher Report and MTV).
So, where do you stand on last night's performance, and more importantly, which act do you believe provided the greatest halftime show in Super Bowl history?
NOTE - I have only included Super Bowls XXV through XLV, as the first 24 halftime shows consisted primarily of local marching bands or Up With People. Halftime of the Super Bowl did not truly become a big event until the mid-1990s, so the first 24 games do not gain entry into the discussion. But if you did vote "OTHER" feel free to specify.

I haven't watched a whole lot of halftime shows, but the one I thought was the best that I've seen was The Rolling Stones.

Sir Paul for me, a close second to Bruce Springsteen even though I'm not a huge fan of him. Dude knows how to put on a spectacle.

Last night was okay but not the best from BEP. Maybe it was the way the sound came through the tv but it wasn't really that good vocally....but i would still go see them in concert. Maybe it was just nerves or not enough auto tune.

MJ's, after thinking back to the ones that really stood out to me. XXXV's comes in second.

I vaguely recall an Indiana Jones themed one, it was probably terrible, but my vague memories of it are good.

MJ by a mile. Entertaining, he was at the height of his musical powers and it was FUN.

U2. Of course, them,The Who,and Tom Petty are the only ones I really like. I don't mind McCartney,The Stones,Prince,or Springsteen but I'm not really a fan either. The other ones I don't care at all about. Well,I don't mind No Doubt either. I forgot about them. Still,my vote is for U2.

Of course MTV would say it was the BEP was the most innovative one. They are idiots.

Well even if you didn't like the music, you have to admit that the visuals in the BEP show were top notch. I haven't read what MTV said, but I take it their referencing the visual effects when they say innovative correct?

I remember liking Prince alot. I don't seem to remember much of those, but I thought the Stones sucked ass. I believe they were out of tune.

Prince, all the way... best musicianship, great energy, good reception, rather aesthetically pleasing, great medley, no unnecessary guests.
Prince is one of a handful of current artists I have to scratch off of my bucket list (along with David Bowie, Robert Fripp, Leonard Cohen, Gregg Allman).
