I don't know a whole lot, but I think that The Last American Virgin is a really good movie. The ending comes along and hits you where it hurts, definitely didn't expect the ending.

If I started running a list of all the 80s movies I remember and love, we'd be here all night. This was my era, after all.
Just off the top of my head:
ET
Empire Strikes Back
Stand By Me
An American Tail
The Land Before Time
Raiders of the Lost Ark
The Karate Kid
Transformers: The Movie
The NeverEnding Story
Flight of the Navigator
I could go on and on and on and on...

I think that the 80's may be the best decade for movies ever.

I think that the 80's may be the best decade for movies ever. I would have a hard time arguing that. Late 30s and early 40s were darn good too with movies like Snow White, Pinocchio, Fantasia, Casablanca, Citizen Kane, The Wizard of Oz and so on. But sticking on topic, the 80s were an amazing decade for movies, weren't they? Heck, haven't even heard Teen Wolf, Dirty Dancing, Amadeus, Short Circuit or Star Trek II mentioned yet. Or Superman II. Or Gremlins. See what I mean?

/a_nightmare_on_elm_street_1.jpg [/img]
I haven't seen the whole movie *hides in shame* but know it best for Johnny Depp getting eaten by the bed and somehow SIXTY GALLONS OF BLOOD shooting up from the bed afterwards.

Action and Comedy films most definitely. In terms of the best films though I'd have to go with the 70's...
The Godfather 1 & 2 Dog Day Afternoon Rocky Star Wars The Deer Hunter All the President's Men Apocalypse Now The French Connection Taxi Driver The Conversation Chinatown Deliverance Jaws MASH One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest Annie Hall
I'd probably pick the 90's over the 80's too for better films. The Oscars for Best Film in the 80's is just hilarious to see some of the mediocrity that won, then again the 80's gave us a few that I don't think have been mentioned..
Adventures in Babysitting Top Gun Ghostbusters Better off Dead The Sure Thing When Harry met Sally Innerspace The Right Stuff Planes, Trains and Automobiles Predator

The Empire Strikes back and Return of the Jedi came out in the 80's, not the 70s.

Oh and ANOTHER classic we have all forgotten but should know well: No Holds Barred!
I WANTED to post a link, but I didn't want to take a chance on a rule violation because it is, technically WWE owned, right?
