I'm sorry if this has already been discussed, but is anyone else annoyed that the fire starter evolves into a fire/fighting? Isn't this the 3rd generation in a row. With it being a pig, I was hoping we'd get another shot at fire/ground. Yeah, it's getting pretty annoying. Not every Fire starter can be as awesome as Blaziken, who was the first Fire starter to evolve to a dual Fighting type. I personally thought Infernape sucked.

Pretty minor but this has me excited. {Spoiler} A ninja and a cowboy gym leader. Awesome.

Well the game just leaked, apparently smugleaf evolves into something that resembles the green ranger.

Personally, I find Infernape a hell of a lot easier to use, since he's faster and has a better movepool than Blaziken. Still, he's a little less durable for it. The new one might work, but yeah, I kind of wish they had gone a different route with him. Still, Fire/Fighting is a pretty decent mix. At least it isn't Fire/Rock, which makes Magcargo one of the most worthless pokemon to use.

Saw a bunch of new Pokemon. A few are actually interesting in concept, and because of that, are good in my book.
There is one Pokemon that resembles one of the Nazca Lines as its design origin. Plus, Desukan has a pre-evolution... ableit similar to Baltoy.

I don't care if Smugleaf has low attack stats (from what I'm hearing from various sources), I'm still picking it, continuing my long legacy of grass starting (with the exception of Gen 2 because the Chikorita line was awful in every way).

The Grass starters have a (deserved) reputation of not doing that well in metagame competition, due to Grass's bad weaknesses like Ice, Fire, and Bug, and few worthwhile resistances to make up for that, but I might pick "Smugleaf" due to liking it. Maybe it can be more contest/equivalent pokemon.

I normally don't do the multiplayer battles because I'm way too OCD when it comes to Pokemon and I think I might throttle something in rage as a result. So I don't have to worry about that.

A decently educated player can handle pretty much anything AI can throw at them. It's when you're facing another player that things get trickier, as it becomes a guessing game when they might switch Pokemon out, etc.

I've got the same sort of legacy, right down to the Chikorita exception. Still not sure which starter I'll pick though, as I'm not sure which design I like the best yet.

Glad to see that a good amount of new Pokemon don't suck when it comes to their design. My opinion has changed on their effort/motivation. Why not release the cool looking ones instead of the garbage ones? That damaged my anticipation for the game.
Now, I hope that live action Pokemon movie, linked on that website, gets made. It actually looks pretty awesome.

Finally, an actual mole Pokemon.
And what's the deal with that Jim Duggan Pokemon carrying around the 2x4?

I am officially pumped for this game again. Seeing ALL the Pokemon, and some of them are REALLY freakin' cool, has me wanting this game badly.

It looks like Baffuron (Afro Buffalo) and Mamabuno (Sunfish) are seperate Pokemon, which means no Pokemon will have evolutions from the previous installations. Kinda sucks as I was hoping for a male Combee and Pinsir evolutions, but hey, at least some of new ones look really promising. Like Aakeosu (based off of the Archaeopteryx) and Sazando (the Dark/Dragon Pokemon).

Ok, A LOT of great Bug and Ghost type Pokemon, but still no good scorpion Pokemon. That centipede Pokemon looks awesome though, and it's stats aren't bad (not great, but not garbage like Airados). Same with the Electric tarantula and and the Steel beetle. After seeing the FULL list of Pokemon, this game looks a hell of a lot better than before, and I'm still picking Smugleaf as my starter. Speaking of which, why is the Fire starter the only one out of the 3 to get a dual typing?
