Holy hell, some of the new ones are BADASS. This may be the year that I finally say f*** it and don't even use the starter. I'm gonna start planning out my team now... I may end up with a very heavily dark-based team, but oh well

I'm really, really liking some of these new pokemon. I'm thinking about an all dark type team like I've done before, but with all new pokemon
Warubiaru Zuruzukin Zoroark Kirikizan Barujiina Sazando
Warubiarum, Denchura, Dasutodasu, Desukan, Sazando, Ononokusu and their earlier forms are my favorites of the new pokemon.

Also, now we have two Pokemon lines based on Japanese fashion. Jynx' line is based partially on ganguro, and now we have a line based at least partially on Gothic Lolita.

I am really disappointed that there is no new EEVEElution. I was hoping for a Steel or Dragon Type

I am really disappointed that there is no new EEVEElution. I was hoping for a Steel or Dragon Type Well we have: - Grass - Fire - Water - Electric - Ice - Psychic - Dark Not many types left, really. I imagine a Ground or Rock type as well as a Steel type could be done, maybe even a Poison type, but really that's about all.

I think at the rate they (were) are going with the types of Eeveelutions, they might as well do all the types. I mean, how badass would a Ghost Eevee look like? But yeah, I'm shocked to see no new forms for Eevee this generation, which is kind of sad, since it's been almost a tradition for Eevee to get a new form every generation. Hopefully they DO have some in mind and plan to release it in Grey. EDIT: Just remembered they didn't give Eevee new forms in Generation 3 either. Carry on.

I am really disappointed that there is no new EEVEElution. I was hoping for a Steel or Dragon Type Well, they said that none of the previous 4 generations of Pokemon would have any (pre)evos in Generation 5. I still say that the afro bull Pokemon should be Tauros' evolution.

Not really dissapointed but more surprised that they dident make any new evolve forms from past pokemon because some REALLY needed it. The Ground/Dark Gator thing was my favorite and seeing his last evolve form has made me like him even more although i wish he had just a little better stats but you can't expect a Garchomp two generation's in a row. right?

It looks pissed off, probably because so many humans have grabbed it thinking it is a PokeBall.

In a way, it makes sense that Generation V wouldn't get any new Eevee evolutions. First Sequel (Gold/Silver): 2 new Eevee evolutions Second Sequel (Ruby/Sapphire): 0 new Eevee evolutions Third Sequel (Diamond/Pearl): 2 new Eevee evolutions Fourth Sequel (Black/White): 0 Eevee evolutions My guess would be that we'll get two more in Generation VI, then none in Generation VII, and so on and so forth until they run out. And given how successful the Pokemon franchise seems to be, I really wouldn't be surprised if it lasted long enough for them to run out of new types for that, too.

With generation 5 being all new pokemon I wonder if gen 6 could be all old pokemon with new evolutions.
Starters could be pre-evolutions of Lapras, Tropius or Carnivine and Kuitaran from gen 5. Some could be the middle form or the final evolution.
I can't believe I'm already thinking about generation 6 when we just got 5. ;D

For Generation 6, I say they introduce a new type. To go along with Dark, I suggest Light.

For Generation 6, I say they introduce a new type. To go along with Dark, I suggest Light. Yeah, but what would be the logic of it? Dark was only really created to counter Psychic and relate with ghost. It's color scheme is already occupied by Normal. Its potential attacks design-wise are already occupied with electric and fire. I suppose there's the 'holy' route but they already glossed it over with Arceus.
