I was bored tonight, and this board was kind of slow, so I decided to load up my old message board name over on Scifi.com ( I made it during the short lived Tremors: the Series and never went back after the cancellation ).
This is what I discovered:
Shockingly enough....Sci-fi uber-fans despise ECW.
Zombie...wasn't to big of a hit...not even for a laugh.
TNA fans have apparently swarmed the boards, sensing a chance to recrute disappointed ECW fans.
Uneducated wrestling fans have declared Sandman a "patheic ripoff of Stone Cold!"
Bats (Starring Lou "I was in Young Guns 1 &2" Diamond "Don't forget Stand and Deliver" Phillips) will be making it's Scifi debut Saturday. Now I can't watch Sci-fi because I already have the movie on VHS and Special Edition DVD.
Tremors is still cancelled. Fricking Scifi...

Nobody expects the McMahonism inquisition! :-D EDIT: But seriously, this is really sad. I doubt Vince realizes what he's done, and when he does it'll be all Heyman's fault.

We need a 3 hour block Mystery Science Theater 3000 and reruns of the old ECW. Life would be good.

Let me just say I am a huge fan of Tremors and mark out for Burt Gummer ("Doing What I can with what I got"). However, it was not fit for a series, it works beeter as a straight to video movie once per year (kind of like ECW at this point). Thank you for this information. I love that the Sci Fi fans McMahon wanted are revolting against him. I mark out for Lou Diamond Phillips because he was awesome on his one episode of Miami Vice. Any guy who gets dumped by his wife for a Large Marge and has the guts to talk about it on Howard Stern has my respect. How does a lesbian slur become Large Marge? Who the f*** is Large Marge? Damn filters. ;D

We need a 3 hour block Mystery Science Theater 3000 and reruns of the old ECW. Life would be good. If MST3K came back to Sci-Fi, I'd be happy with any crap ECW put on. As long as I could have my MST3K back. When that show officially stopped being shown, I lost my smile. -Kelly

If they need new movies for MST3K they could use the SCI FI movies of the week.

They need to do a Special MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000 11 weeks from today. A special lampooning the worst of new ECW. We can use it when the new ECW gets the Gooker this year.

However, it was not fit for a series, it works beeter as a straight to video movie once per year (kind of like ECW at this point). I disagree. Tremors: The Series could have been a good success with a chance. One thing that killed the Tremors: TS was the fact that Sci-fi showed the episodes out of order (Just to show Christopher Llyod for early ratings and then for...well...no good reason) The Mixmaster plotline allowed T: TS to avoid overusing "Look its El Blanco!" and focus on random mutated creatures. The ratings were about off by mere hundredths of the goal set by Scifi (Something that would have most likely been ignored for Stargate: Miami) with an average of 1.0. Given a chance, better advertisement, and shilling out the money nessecery for a cameo. I don't expect Kevin Bacon, but find Fred Ward on the set of a disaster film and drag him into the frame a couple times! Oh...kay....sorry for the rant...did not expect to do that.... Some Sci-fi people are starting to acknowledge the Zombie as a nice rip at the channel, but some still despise the newest hero of professional wresting... Oh...the Vampires seem to be going over well...what?!

Oh...the Vampires seem to be going over well...what?! There are only so many ways to kill Graboids, Ass Blasters, and Shreakers. Hence why after each movie they had to add a new variation to the creatures. At that point the show just becomes a fifth rate Outer Limits or X - Files. Over exposure kills any product, ask WCW. The dumbest f***ing thing was thr prequel when they were killing Graboids in the past. If they can not stop them with 21st century weapons, I do not think they are going to do it in the 1800's. End of rant. When they figure out the vampire is not going to be a Blade / John Carpenter type Vampire and just a generic goth guy, they will turn on it.

Christ Big Matthew Cool, what are you going to do if next weeks ECW is really good?
I guess the same thing you did when ECW ONS2 was really good.

It was a middle of the road show that was not a bad show only due to a hot crowd. Right now I am watching the real One Night Stand on tape and remembering the last time ECW was any good. While I am sure that amazing talent Dave Lagana (sarcasm) will save ECW, I will not be betting on it.

Didn't you say you weren't going to order it? You wouldn't be judging something you haven't even seen would you?
It seems to me that you have had the knives out for the new ECW from the start, and that you are wanting it to fail. Sure, it's not going to be the same as the old ECW, but if it settles into being another WWE brand with a different style I will be happy.

Sure, it's not going to be the same as the old ECW, but if it settles into being another WWE brand with a different style I will be happy. I would be judging it based on the fan reactions to the show (including right here on Wrestlecrap cheap pop), listening to the live audio feed of it, and reading the detailed recaps of the show by Keller, Guttman, and Meltzer. I found out everything I needed to know for an informed opinion and I made it without blowing $40. You have obviously not read all of my posts. Over 2 months ago I was the number 1 supporter of new ECW. Even then there were doubters (who proved to be right), but I ignored it and gave it a chance. McMahon spent a month of Raws f***ing it up, so he changed my opinion and has provided no reason to change it back. This product is a fraud with the ECW letters printed on it. Even without ECW on it it would be a bush league, as was proven last night. McMahon will never allow it to be different from what ever he already produces twice per week. I do not have any knives, but I have words to express my outrage and disappointment and I will use them.

Well I though it was built up very well on raw, with the dissapointing debut on sci fi the first I like butter the other side of me has liquid on it in the armour, but each to his own. If you weren't expecting WWE crossover storylines, and for it to be more WWE styled than before, then I can kind of understand why you would hate it, if you hate WWE (which you seem to, correct me if I'm wrong). I still think it's unfair to judge something without actually watching it yourself. If you don't want to pay, there are many other methods of watching the PPV. And certainly don't base your opinion on what people post here. If I did that, I would never watch raw, since every week it's the 'worst raw ever.' EDIT- What the? Damn filters. I'm not using the word as in racist term for a chinese guy, I mean it as in a small gap or weakness in armour. But I'll leave it as it is because it's funny.
