Imagine vignettes like Cody Rhodes' but for Daniel Bryan and his submissions. Each week some camp humorous video plays as he puts a different submission on some poor sap, or Derrick Bateman.
End it with Bryan smiling and saying 'Now that's.. SUBMISSION WRESTLING!'

I like the idea of Bryan trying to teach Bateman all these moves, yet he's too goofy to actually learn them.

I'd want it to be Bateman every time

I like the idea of Bryan using Bateman as a grappling dummy for all of his subs, and every one of them begins with Bateman screaming that he is still in pain from the last one.

He should teach wacky submissions that wouldn't work so when they try it against him, they fail.

I'd rather learn from Jeff Jarrett. He learned everything in a matter of WEEKS!

It could work if only he would actually use them in his matches. It's a bit weird to see him a submission specialist able to come up with 1001 ways to make his opponent tap out and so far we're still at

Also, i'm mad at Bryan because he is using Cattle Mutilation as a transitional move. He makes me mark like crazy just to see his opponent get out of it in 4 seconds

Bryan: "Today folks, I'm going to show you something I picked up while studying Jiu Jitsu in Brazil. The no-leg reverse mounted flying gogoplata." Bateman: "That can't be real" Bryan: "Shut up Bateman."

This. Also, i'm mad at Bryan because he is using Cattle Mutilation as a transitional move. He makes me mark like crazy just to see his opponent get out of it in 4 seconds It was a transitional move in the indies too, nobody's tapped to it in years. But he used it as a finisher in the indies. The move had that credibility as a finisher, so even when nobody had tapped out to it in years, every time he locked it in you got the feeling that the match could end right there. I'm not saying it was a bad idea to "retire" the move as a finisher, because it's not a very realistic submission and the LeBell Lock it's 10 times better. I'm just pissed because the first time he used it in the WWE, i was thinking "CATTLE MUTILATION!!!!! THE MATCH IT'S OVER, IT'S OVER!!!" and then the guy rolled out of it immediately. Things like that can break your heart man

This really makes me want Dashing Daniel Bryan more than anything else. Maybe this whole deal with Bryan being awkward and dorky could lead to him seeking Cody Rhodes's advice before his "big night" with Nikki/Brie. Bryan could pull off the Dashing gimmick as well as Cody.

My favorite wrestler and my favorite gimmick combining got me all messed up. Thank you, for this moment of clarity.

I could see Bryan taking a tip from the dashing one but hilariously failing. I bet he would still get some twincest.
