If you had said 2 years ago that in 2010: -Bret and Shawn would reconcile -Bret would face Vince at WM -Brian Danielson would main event Summerslam
You'd be called insane. And that's not even half of the crazy stuff that happened this year.

I'm pleasantly surprised at how well Daniel Bryan's done in the WWE.

Agreed, it has been a pretty good year in WWE. There has been some bad stuff sure but I think the good out weights the bad

WWE is finally finding it's niche with the PG rating, and this year was proof.

CM Punk's promo during the Royal Rumble match was a highlight for me, as were Vickie's classy little tribute to Eddie at WM, and Nattie's obvious joy at winning the Divas title.
I think overall 2010 has been one of the best years for the better part of the decade.

I'd say 2010 was the best year for WWE PG yet.

They've done a really good job rebuilding Kofi Kingston this year. The Orton feud in which he pretty much got buried put him in a hole, but instead of fading into obscurity he's gone on to quietly become one of the best performers on the roster, putting on main event quality matches when given the time. Even the Divas division is better than its been in a bit. NXT, as bad as the show is at times, has proved to be a catalyst for WWE's new direction and I'm enjoying it. It feels like 1996 in someways, the calm before the storm, you can feel a change in the product happening. To me, 2010 has been WWE's best year since 2002.

I started watching Raw regularly again this year. And I'm following Smackdown, even if I don't watch it every week. I hope a lot of others can say the same.

-Swagger's slowly come into his own and showed that he can work well with almost everyone (as shown with his matches against Kofi, Bryan and Rey). Also: Swagger Soaring Eagle. -"Dashing" Cody Rhodes became the breakout star of Legacy. -Less Hornswoggle. -Miz becoming champion (after all he had to deal with and still going on is just inspirational). -Dolph Ziggler's success as I-C champ (long overdue since last year) -Alberto Del Rio taking over from Jericho as the company's most honorable man. -Punk as commentator. -Jerry Lawler's TLC match -Old School Raw

It's been one of the bets years in a long time
Royal Rumble was awesome, wiht Beth Phoneix, CM Punk and ZACK RYDER WWWYKI... Okay granted I legit can't remember who won the Ru- overnevermind, it was Edge. Ehh that was... Ehhh. It Pb to Edge's fail face turn and the SPEAR SPEAR SPEAR chants which were cool at first, but also will never stop annoying me
We also had the reign of Douchetista which was glorious
And then we had Bret's return, the insane moment of seehimg HUG SHAWN MICHAELS, and then he killed Vince at WM and idc, I was one of the people who marked for that match even though it sucked. I t was still a heartwarming moment see to Bret killing the hell out of Vince with a chair
but they also fired CAYLEN CRFOT and killed ECW...
Therefore worst year ever and I can enver forgive it
i sincerely inapolgoznice for antything stupid i said in the above post as i had to take my emergency meds tonight and they make me f'n loopy

On the whole I think it Raw has been great but Smackdown was weaker than it had been for many years.
Although the storylines and stand-out moments have been a lot better his year I don't think the in-ring action was as good as 2009 or possibly 2008. That's just personal preference though and is mainly due to HBK and Jericho having fewer big matches and Rey becoming predictable again.

I agree with what the above poster says about smackdown. Raw has been awesome, but Smackdown mostly bores me. The live smackdown was great though. Maybe that's the problem they should try and go live.

Also it's quite remarkable that RAW has been so great considering 3 greats in HBK, Jericho and Batista all left this year.

Agreed. RAW has been great this year for the most part, best its been in a good five years or so for me. From the buildup to Wrestlemania with Bret's return, Taker/HBK, Cena/Batista, to the Nexus angle and the rise of new Superstars, it's been good stuff.
Smackdown has the let the field down a bit though. It's been totally uninspiring pretty much all year. This year, on the UK tour, I decided to go to RAW over Smackdown for the first time and that wasn't just a coincidence.
