I really liked Cole on Smackdown, his heel character worked great, and he went well with Grisham and Stryker. Cole is also great on NXT, but on Raw it doesn't work. I think Cole is doing too much on Raw, he's the play by play, the host and then he also heels it up. This made me realize why the PBP is usually face or tweener, mainly because being a pbp or being a heel is a full time job. On Smackdown Styker does alot of the PBP, and Grisham is hosting the show, so all Cole had to do was make heelish remarks. If Cole is going to continue to be a heel they need to bring Matthews in to do the pbp, while Punk can be a analyst/color commentator.

I enjoy Cole on the booth almost any time he's there. However, with him on Smackdown it really seem like there's less separation between the shows.
I liked it as Striker and Grisham, but I won't lie, Cole has made a good presence there.

Was there any reason given for the addition of Cole? Kayfabe, and/or legit?
