I think I am safe in saying we are approaching the true end of an era in WWE in the near future. Some of WWE's biggest and most reliable stars-notably many who reached their heights in the Attitude Era-are aging and by all accounts contemplating their departure from the ring. Rumor has it that Triple H is aiming to make putting Sheamus over as a huge star his last hurrah. Kane has been hinting at a future in local politics in his home area. Undertaker has been saying it may be time to end the streak. While Big Show and Jericho could still have some years left in them, I think neither of them fits in very well with the current WWE roster, and both are likely to fade out slowly. With that said, who do my fellow crappers think truly has no place left in WWE as it is today, and perhaps should be the first to go? You decide.

Big Show has been totally re-invented. Same with Jericho. Kane and Undertaker are still relevant, specially Kane being in the best shape of his life.
Triple H is still in far better shape than Taker. Taker is the only one I worry about in the ring. He's falling apart.

Other: Chavo Guerrero.
...what? I know it's a bit of a stretch, but the man's 40 and hasn't done anything of note since winning the ECW Title (unless you count beating Kaval and making this place explode in fury.) He just feels odd among all the other guys on Smackdown.

Taker was a huge star far before the Attitude era. All of these guys still fit in to some degree, even Taker because he transcends the generations.
So I'm voting other, because I think the wrestling talent that exists that was big in the Attitude era is good enough that they can change their style to meet the demands of the new era.

What about Goldust? Even though I'm a huge mark for him, he seems like a bit of a relic. He's in great shape though and seems to get good reactions from the crowd. I'd love to see him in an angle with his brother.

Pfft. He's just saying that to generate more interest in his match(s). He won't be losing.

I think if Undertaker were to retire within the next year, he could avoid the pathos that seems to characterize Ric Flair's career now. He's the most immediate concern at this point; even without a program for him, it's hard to picture WWE without him, but they'll have to start soon.
Big Show is still young(ish) and can be a credible monster opponent for either champion, even if a title's no longer in the cards for him. Kane's still at or near the top of his career, but he should start thinking about retiring within the next three years, especially if Undertaker does.
Trips could probably make a dignified exit at this point, perhaps by putting Sheamus over one more time. Jericho can make good at one more kick at the can, but it will have to be soon and it will have to be a good, solid title reign before giving back on his way out. Ditto for Chavo and Rey.
Damn. It just occurred to me how few of that generation are left.

Every time I see Big SHow on screen now he just seems out of place

Undertaker somehow fits as a special case in todays WWE. It will seem weird when he finally goes.

Val Venis....what? He's been rehired, hasn't he? Obviously, if it's still the giggolo/pornstar gimmick, that's what I mean.

Other: The rest of the roster.
Yeah what can I say when that selection truly retire from my screen it will be a sad day for me.
Edge is Attitude era too, but I suppose he adapted well to the change.

I think it probably helped him that he wasn't a Main Event guy like the others...(though Show and Jericho jumped in and out of it I guess)

Goldust is my pick. Back in the day he was known for his sexually harrasing mind games, whether they be to males or females, he was perfect at the time but now he's nothing more than a guy in facepaint who tries to bite people and breathes in alot. They tried to give him a storyline with Ted but now that it's fizzled out he's doing dark matches and showing up in the background of NXT, same happened almost 2 years ago when he returned to fued with Santino, went nowhere.
They had a chance to turn Goldust to Dustin Rhodes when the Straight Edge Society was going on, since he was doing nothing better at that point and was even on Smackdown for a period after ECW, that would have been a good idea to make him relevant again.

Kane has been hinting at a future in local politics in his home area. I can't possibly imagine this going well. Free political ad goldmine for whoever is his opponent.

Triple H, for some reason I think things seem great without him and I can't see things working so well with him back.
Taker was pre-attitude era really, and he is a special case.

I can't stress how bizarre it is seeing Kane out of character talking libertarian politics. He seems very smart though whenever he does so I wouldn't count him out. I think with the right campaign manager it would be easy enough to deflect a lot of the criticism that would flow from his wrestling career. On topic, all of those people fit in to me. Undertaker transcends eras. Jericho is the best in the world at what he does. Big Show is finally getting to show more of his face charisma again (much better face than heel, IMHO. He's just a big teddy bear). HHH is always good, and I don't know why the retirement rumor mill is flying so high with him. I might second Chavo. If his last name was something other than Guerrero I think he would have been jettisoned years ago.

I actually have little to no problem with Triple H at all. I'd be sad to see him go.
I'd have to say Undertaker. I don't really find his character all that relevant anymore but to each there own I guess. I really enjoyed his program with Edge from 2008 and his previous two WrestleMania matches with HBK but I really wouldn't be sad to see him go.
He can't be all that profitable to the company, can he? Does he move a lot of merch? I rarely see anyone with a 'Taker shirt.

Sadly, I've been thinking Christian seems like a relic from the past for a while now. You know, I'm sad to say that I somewhat agree. He was one of my favorites - something about him was very relatable. I stole all of his moves for backyard wrestling - partially because I love his reverse DDT/Killswitch, and partially because they took no strength to do. Lately, he has just done nothing for me. It is too bad that Edge is out because an E&C reunion would have been gold.

Yep, Triple H has nothing left to add at this point apart from a few losses. Plus he's easily the guy who has changed the least over time.
