Really..thats it? I mean..no send off? No Dreamer coming out proclaiming that the tribe called extreme has disbanded? They haven't been mentioned in weeks. I expected a better way to end it, but it looks like they quietly broke up. Granted there's not many members left, but at least give an explanation to why they are no longer together. I mean look at whats left, Kendrick decided to go out on his own and be like Mr.Miyagi to Eric Young's Daniel Larusso, Mick Foley decided to allign himself with Matt Morgan, Stevie is stuck in jobberland on Xplosion.
I knew it was going to end..but it should have at least gotten a send off. Just like everything in TNA, The ECW revival is treated like an afterthought. I mean...where is Tommy Dreamer?
*waits for The Joker to answer my question.
This whole ECW revival was a big waste of time..

EV2.0 = Hardcore Justice, that is all

When Stevie Richards does explosion, they still refer to EV2. But essentially I think it's phased out. Personally, I don't think they need the "long goodbye" type of finale that Bret Hart gave in the WWE. They had a quality tribute at Hardcore Justice, and then they left while putting over TNA's talent. While I definitely don't know these wrestlers personally, I do feel like the ECW wrestlers are willing to help out another wrestler's promising career.
Brian Kendrick's gimmick rules, and his role as Eric Young's guru lasted what... one episode? Hardly the direction he's going in. Though admittedly, I do fear that the direction Kendrick is going in isn't nearly as high as it should be. Psychobabble philosopher Kendrick is an amazing character.
The only major thing I'd change is Stevie Richards' role. It's probably too late to revert to the Dr. Stevie angle (which somehow managed to work), but he's talented enough that he should be used more. Him and Daffney made a great pair, and it was sad to see they had to split.

TNA just sort of phased out a faction with absolutely no fanfare or followup? You don't say.
That's just another small thing I think TNA needs to fix with it's booking. If factions just disappear with no notice...why should we care? I hope they don't take this route with Fortune and the Immortals...but knowing them they will.

Um...not to be a dick but wasn't this entire forum against the EV2 deal? I recall many many threads and posts calling for them to end it asap. Now that it is in fact gone we complain? Why? It didn't draw, it wasn't popular in the office(from what i read) and everyone of them was over 40 so we all complained about the de-emphesis on the younger guys. What gives?

It's just another of the problems with TNA's booking. They introduce an idea that everybody could see was a bad idea 10 miles away, make it a big deal and center the company around it, then when they finally realize it was a stupid idea to begin with they phase it out in a half-ass way that just makes everybody bad for doing it in the first place. It's more of a complaint of "same old, same old" with TNA then any actual complaint about EV2.0.

EV2 had a number of issues.
I see this get thrown into the gooker nominies, and I know it was a take off and a flash back angle, which TNA seems to love in 2010. I liked everyone in the main group. But, I think you can only do a nostalgia angle so long. Wrestling can't live off of nostalgia, with fan turnovers, things getting old, etc.
It's also a shame because Rhino was in TNA longer then he was in ECW, or in WWE. So it's kinda strange having him in this ECW group. I mean, him with the Frontline is one thing.
Raven was a former TNA Champion. Stevie was completely repackaged, ala D'Angelo Dinero. And I love Dreamer, but he has ECW attached to him forever. But, it needs to die.
They've pigeonholed them. They're stuck in this angle, and unless you do a complete gimmick overhaul with Stevie (hopefully not ANOTHER turn), and same with Dreamer, you're just going to be spinning your wheels and you might as well just let them go.
One thing I do wish is that they were kept around for the tag team division at least, and try to go into a different direction with them.

Adding to that TNA had done a nice job of packaging RVD as "Mr. TNA" this year only to then toss him back with the old ECW crew. But yeah why on earth is Rhino an ECW guy at this point? He's been in TNA for 5 years or so and was really only in ECW the last year or so of the company's existence.
The fact that these guys are still being viewed as "ECW guys" when most have been with TNA for a long time only shows how good Heyman was at branding his talent and how bad TNA is at it.

your mistake was expecting stuff. That is a bit unfair. I know it was likely just an off handed remark but they(TNA) give us a good show every few weeks. The Styles/William match made this last week's show for me and if I thought hard enough I could probabily bring up a few more examples.

Wrestling can't live off of nostalgia. This needs to be framed and hung on the walls of every wrestling promoter and every wrestling fan's house.

I'm surprised anyone noticed they're gone.
Barely any viewers noticed they were on the show in the first place.

They were eliminated one by one after they won that cage match against Fortune. Sabu and Raven got fired, Rhyno betrayed them, and Stevie was injured by AJ. Dreamer also said during an interview on the last ppv (before the RVD/Rhyno match) that EV2 is no more. That was their sendoff and I think their extra "thank you" was that victory in the cage

I don't have a problem with it. How many "sendoffs" and "goodbyes" and "tributes" and "one night stands" has Dreamer and his crew gotten in the past several years? Let the thing die quietly, I say. Just phase them out, keep whomever you can get some use out of, and put them in other roles.
I do understand the desire to see things "wrapped up" and that's a legit criticism of TNA to say the least. But in this case, I think just moving on is warranted.

We can only hope. There doesn't need to be a big finale, just pull the plug and never speak of it again.
