He looks way older than 41.
But then again, he's put his body through hell.

My girlfriend is a huge Sabu mark, so needless to say, I've seen more of his matches than are allowed by law. Is he as good as he once was? Hell no. But as TNA's "Barbed Wire Massacre" match proved, he can still on a damn fine show when he has to. I think he's being set up as the new Terry Funk - the old legend that everyone can rally around. In that role, he'll excel.
PS: Sabu with fire, Sabu with Hayabusa, Sabu with barbed wire... bah, I say. If you all want to see a completely different side of Sabu, go find his New Japan tag match with Masahiro Chono versus Keiji Muto and Jushin Liger from August '95. No chair, no spike, no table spots... and it's still hardcore.

Sabu was what made ecw in the day, he was so diffrent and cutting edge he was 10 years ahead of the who wwf late 90's era.

Triple moonsaults of the top middle rope is hardly moving? Then what's John Cena? A tree?

For those of u who never heard of Sabu , where have you been? You can't consider yourself a true fan of wrestling without knowing or seeing Sabu wrestle. The guy is incredible and one of a few guys who has the balls to tell Vince to stick it.

In two weeks or so, he's gotten to smash a chair onto Cena through a table, gotten to wrestle the Smackdown! champ for the title, and now is in the main event at Vengeance. I realize the guy WAS a great hardcore entertainer, but now it looks like he can barely move. I'll be the first to admit I don't know that much about the guy, but what gives? sabu is the most self endangering man on the roster, he will do anything to make a match entertaining, and he CAN do more the just about anyone, who have you ever seen besides him do the tripple jump moonsault? and i disagree, the guy still moves great, he is a legend, and he deserves the push more then anyone else on the roster, he never got the respect he deserved in this country

RVD, Sabu, Sandman and New Jack were the four corners of ECW as far as in-ing performers. Those 4 were, in my opinion, the "creators" of the ECW style in the ring.
Sabu: Insane high-flying spots with weapons RVD: High-flying martial arts style Sandman: Beer-drinking, cigarette-smoking, and cane swinging (and he got the best storylines of anyone, other than maybe Raven) New Jack: Balls to the wall insane. Never met a weapon he couldn't kill you with.
I can't really count Raven, because he popped in and out so much, and Dreamer, who didn't book himself main-event. And, remember, it took Dreamer a long time to be accepted by the ECW crowds.

I've really enjoyed Sabu's work over the past year or so. His TNA stuff with Abyss was psychotic and highly enjoyable. To be honest they kinda have to push Sabu since he's one of the few guys in this new ECW that has credibility with everyone in the audience. The older fans know what he's capable of, and newer fans see him come out of the gate beating down Cena and Rey and can surmise this dude is for real.
I always thought they missed the boat not bringing Sabu in after ECW closed. I guess he'd been on the outs with Heyman due to the early 2000 situation where he tried to jump to WCW. Heyman let Mike Awesome go. Note that he made Sabu sit out (or go to XPW). It would have been really bizarre seeing Sabu in the WWF circa 2001 though...can you imagine his "homicidal, suicidal, genocidal" gimmick post 9/11?

If they give Sabu enough time to rest up after working big spots, he should last a while at least.
I'm personally stoked that they're finally giving Sabu his due.
And the posters before me were right. Jobbing out Sabu would be BAD...VERY bad.

Yeah, Sabu has had a lot of injuries, and in that sense I'm surprised to see him main eventing, but reading that he can "barely move" actually made me laugh out loud. Have you been watching?

I saw Sabu and Taz wrestle in 1998 at a house show in Concord, NC (outside of Charlotte) Taz closelined Sabu. That closeline broke Sabu's jaw and tore Taz's bicep. They wrestled another 15-20 mins. after that. that's tough

At least he isn't jobbing to the entire WWE roster. What do you mean. So far Sabu has jobbed via disqualification after being killed be Cena in a no disqualification match and had a no contest against the WWF roster. His 1 win was in a battle royal against ECW undercard guys and ECW Big Slow. Not the strongest push in history. I think Sabu is getting a push in the least sense of the word to try to keep him interested and not have him walk off the show as has been done before. Get him a pay per view pay day so he sees a financial reward for playing ball. It makes sense from a business point of view. He will job clean and job often to ECW super fan Cena, unfortunately. Any body who thinks anything else will happen is kidding them selves.

Compared to what condition he was in a year or so ago, he's moving like the bee's knees.
In addition to his moveset/style being unqiue for many WWE viewers, Sabu's look is incredible and McMahon loves a guy's look more than his ability. Heyman talks about it on the Rise and Fall DVD. It's not a Chris Masters "I have 32 abs!!" look. It's a "Good lord...this guy might actually kill his opponent, then run into the stands and kill a couple fans" look.
