No, I wasn't but I was hoping for something that would be at least entertaining and have the crowd on their feet, I swore it was a Velocity taping by the way they reacted to everything.
And if you ever needed to know why they shouldn't do these ECW shows in a WWE crowd, watch last night, they booed RVD,lol in a crowd that is supposed to be cheering him storyline-wise.
Worst episode of WCW Saturday Night I've seen so far.

Can an entire episode be nominated for Wrestlecrap?
Here's why I think so many are disappointed...with the first ONS PPV, they did a great job (not perfect, but still...) in recreating the spirit of ECW...then came ONS II...nowhere near as good as ONS, but dang it all, wrestling fans put up with a lot worse (look at the other WWE "brands") so hope springs eternal...but last nights show surprised even the most jaded of us. We KNOW that the WWE can put on a watchable "ECW" show if they wanted to...they already did it twice. Hate to say it (again) but it'll only get worse from here on...if that's possible... UNLESS Vince listens to the fans and REALLY lets Heyman do what's necessary to salvage this monstrosity. That. Won't. Happen.
ECW V. II = D.O.A.

The old ECW is gone for good, but the new ECW needs improvement. The smackdown crowd that they did the show in front of are obviously not the rabid, smarky ECW crowd that we saw at the PPV. That takes away from the overall feel that you would want on an ECW show. It felt more like a Sunday night heat episode. Hopefully it will get better over the next few weeks.

When sabu didn't come right out for his match, I had visions of that Ben Wallace cell phone commercial...

I love how you all judge after one show.

I love how you all judge after one show. Well, we're judging last night's show, not the whole 12 week program, which I think we can do and I see nothing wrong with that. If I said the whole series is going to be excellent and be the 2nd coming of the Attitude Era, would that still be premature judging on my part? Also, the whole "People need to stop bashing a certain wrestler or promotion" threads never work, people will do what they want anyways, and it seems useless, though you're stating your opinion.

I love how you all judge after one show. Did you really expect us to all hold our tongues until after, say, week 3 or 4? Come on!!! This is the IWC baby! Its all about what you do for us LATELY that counts. Sarcasm aside, I feel perfectly fine judging what I saw last night as uninteresting mush at best. It was everything the WWE had been marketing it as... all hardcore, all the time. And from what I have heard from old ECW fans, that is NOT was the old ECW was all about. Its a shame, really, but you don't have to smell dog shit 3 or 4 times to know what it is.

I can only imagine when the "new ECW" goes to the crowds like the ECW arena and the Hammerstein and watch them s*** all over the generic blonde who claims she's an exhibitionist, but chickens out halfway and doesn't show everything.
If you put the show last night in front of a bunch of jaded and bitter smarks, they would probably have chanted "BORING" during that whole striptease fiasco and the Zombie bit as well.

The show just seemed to me to try too hard. It seemed like that too, especially with the fake enthusiasm that Tazz and Styles were showing. I heard that Heyman wasn't too happy about the show either according to PWinsider.com (not sure how true it is) and I wouldn't be surprised either. I hope them using the "Bodies" theme song, doesn't mean that Steph is coming back as the new GM for ECW. I wouldn't be surprised if her pregnancy was the main event of one of the ECW TV Tapings, lol.

The ending battle royal was good. Not great, but good. And I gotta admit, Sandman beating up stupid Sci Fi gimmicks will keep me entertained.
From what I 've read, Heyman hated the show, too. Let's hope he gets the chance to bounce back next week and push what he really wants to push.

The Angle match was decent, but man I get tired seeing weapons in the ring. Hardcore can exist without those things. I was hoping that was what I'd see.

I was really disappointed in the Angle/Credible match. I wanted it to go longer. If I wanted to see a WWE star squash a non-WWE star, I'd go buy the InVasion DVD.

I wouldn't be surprised if the InVasion DVD came free with ONS2,lol.
That ECW show didn't seem any different than a Raw or Smackdown show.

To Merc: I don't see why people can't judge after one show. Even If we all said we loved it and it was the greatest thing ever, thats a judgement too. Would you still say we should'nt say anything until we see a few more shows? Now I agree with you if you say that people shouldn't act like its a total failure after one show but we all have the right to judge what we saw last night whether its positive or negative.
