Will the Flair/Foley two out of three falls become something special? Will it become the new Flair/Steamboat? I think that there is a very good chance that these two could tear the roof off of the place in Charlotte, N.C.? What do my fellow crapper's think?

Vince loves to embarrass the hometown hero (JR, Benoit, etc) so expect to see Flair get creamed.

While they are both way past their prime. Flair is still one hell of worker and still has the ability to put on great matches when motivated, and this just may be the match that we tell our children about one day.

How'd Benoit look bad in his hometown? I don't know the dates exactly, but something bad usually happens to him in Canada. Wasn't he the victim of a "Montreal Screwjob" right infront of The Hart Family a couple of years ago?

I think they will have this match as Flair's technical match and have some sort of hardcore match at Summerslam

I definately see there being a rematch at Summerslam that more fits Foley's style.
As for the Vince comment, when's the last time he embarassed Flair in Charlotte? If i remember right, the last time they were there he had that amazing TLC match with Edge where you actually thought for a couple of moments that Flair would pull it off. There was also the match with HHH where Flair looked great and the entire lockerroom came out to honor him. WCW killed Flair in NC, not Vince.
Now JR in OK is a whole other story.

It's starting to look like I am the only one that wants to see this match. Yes, you are. This bad boy would have been bowling shoe ugly 10 years ago when they could still work. Now it is going to be an attrocity. Making it 2 out of 3 falls is just ridiculously dumb. That was so each guy could get a fall on the other to protect egos (Foley will win the first fall). Foley can only do garbage matches now and Flair has been doing the same match for 25 years. Age and lack of condition aside, their styles do not mesh. Not to mention they hate each others guts, which means they want to make each other look bad. Matches between guys with real life heat almost always stink (Benoit / Sullivan exception). Flair will win, he is still a full time wrestler. Foley leaves after losing to finish his book. When the book is done Foley will come back and get his job back from Flair. I wish they would both retire.

From Mick Foley's Blog on March 2, 2006
One last parting image for you: Imagine my surprise when I saw who I was sitting next to me for the 15-hour flight from Manila to Los Angeles: “Nature Boy” Ric Flair.
“Ric, this can’t be how you imagined spending your birthday,” I said.
At that point, both John Cena and Triple H independently volunteered to switch seats in an attempt to break up the newly formed Flair-Foley merger. To their mutual surprise, we both declined the request. And to just about everyone’s surprise (including my own), Ric Flair and I talked for several hours. We did discuss our differences, but we also talked about family and politics, with Ric discussing his possible run for North Carolina governor and me discussing my long-range goal of becoming United States ambassador to the Philippines.
Hey, I’ll admit to not being all that comfortable at first. But I did enjoy myself, and I think Ric did, too. That’s good because upon entering United Airlines Flight No. 212 from Los Angeles to Washington, I looked at my boarding pass: 1-B. Who do you think was sitting in 1-A? Woooo!
The feud is based on past heat between the two, but Foley and Flair have made up like adults and come to a resolution. That is the reason the on-camera feud is now happening since they are both at least on decent terms right now.

It does not mean what they do will be any good. 1 plane ride does not erase 2 decades of hate. Remember, it was Flair who fired Foley for a promo Flair has to this day never seen.

oh I'm not going to say that the match quality is going to be good. Its going to be more like watching HBK/Hogan where its just the appeal of seeing these two finally meet.
But I have to believe that Flair and Foley are at least on not hating terms. They may not necessarily like each other or totally forgiven each other, but they've put the past behind them enough to work together like civilized people.

WWE needs to book it so that it can be remembered as a classic, not with some screwy finish. Fact is, Flair was still putting on good matches with Triple H last year. I think he can still go. Foley has had some fun hardcore matches, but can he and Flair have a good 2/3 falls regular match up? I think they can.
