Or remember the days when a cell phone did absolutely nothing other than make phone calls. They also made a handy weapon. Wow. Look at that archaic thing, though. There was no way you were losing that. No way that thing was going to be in your pocket when you did the laundry.

Man, I just realized, in about 30 years no one is going to understand why Seinfeld was funny. Also those wrestling references on the phone one were hilarious.

A few comments- As far as VCRs and rewinding, the first time I ever seen a DVD and realized that there was no rewinding I thought it was the greatest thing ever. BTW maybe I am in the minority but I never understood the logic of using one of those rewinders when the VCR had a rewind function. In 8th grade I had a class that sometimes required you to watch a tape. When you got done you had to use the rewinder despite the VCRs having a rewind function. They made some seperate machines because they sold the fact that rewinding and fast forwarding would wear down your VCR over time.

A few comments- Never thought about how the save icon was obsolete. Anyway my mom was doing something on the computer and I told her to click the floppy disc to save. She had no clue what I was talking about. I remember a few years ago I bought a new computer and wanted to transfer some of my song to my new one. I got an error message and an explanation that I would have to do something involving a floppy disk. That was fine and dandy but there were two problems. The floppy disk drive had broke and I never bothered replacing it and this computer does not even have a floppy drive on it. As far as VCRs and rewinding, the first time I ever seen a DVD and realized that there was no rewinding I thought it was the greatest thing ever. Saturday Morning Cartoons-I remember these fondly. Do any networks at all play any Saturday Morning cartoons? Dial up internet-Up until 2009 I used dial-up. After my dad got a computer I went to DSL. Now I do not want to go back. Using a phone with a cord-My parents still have a phone with a cord however I do not have a personal telephone but use my cheap cell phone. A lot easier and a lot cheaper. I think the main reason to use the rewinder was to avoid wear on your vcr. One can also put in another movie rather have to wait for the vcr to finish rewinding. That and I also think that early VCR's didn't include a rewind function. I may be way off base because I was born in 1987 WAY after VCR's were invented, but my family actually owned one old ass VCR that only had fast forward but no rewind so we used a rewinder for that one.

I think CW still airs a handful of Saturday Morning Cartoons, but its a limited amount and its mainly dubbed anime.

A few networks still show cartoons on Saturday morning, as do some cable shows. The network shows are mostly children's animation (the educational kind, I mean. Not the actiony kind designed to sell toys), or as someone else put, the CW, which airs anime.

Ok. Here's a bunch of things our kids won't get:
-Some people once thought wrestling was real. -Yellow pages -Mail order catalogues -Masturbating to pictures on the women's underwear pages on the aforementioned catalogue. -Not being able to just google how to spell "aforementioned"
EDIT: Not being able to edit a message once it has been sent

And what about Porn.
So easy to get hold of these days.
I remember a time I could not buy porn because I was too young. So best bet was just randomly finding it in bushes in parks and reserve areas.
Also in the 90s in Australia we only had 5 TV channels at the time. Sometimes we would get some softcore movie on a commercial network after 11pm on a Friday or Saturday night. Another good option was SBS a channel that showed a lot of foreign films were they would often show movies from countries where the actors did not even consider having a no nudity clause in their contract.
It was a frustrating time.

Ah yes, The Zack Morris Cellphone, which could cause almost as much damage as a brick to the head.

Recording songs off the radio to make a mix tape, but you'd either miss the first couple seconds or you'd have to sit there with the pause and record buttons both held down in hopes of hearing the songs you wanted.
Your walkman eating your tape, and then having to respool it on the wheel with a pencil or a key or whatever, and the sound never being quite the same after that.
Hell, going to a music store in general. It's sure not how it used to be.

How it used to be ok to smoke in a public or private place. I remember those insane times when you could smoke in the mall. They just asked you did not go into the store with it, you know, so you didn't burn the clothes. I never got to do this, but I remember my parents doing it.

I know they mentioned corded phones already, but what about ROTARY phones?
Also, computer-related: I remember having to 'park' the hard drive of your computer before moving it. Parking the drive moved the reading heads away from the... sensitive bits that held all the information, I guess. But you used to have to TELL the computer to do this. Now it's automatic.

They're insanely expensive, like $15 a pack, normally about $10 here. Smoking sections in restaurants, yea, those were cool. I got to experience some of that as a smoker, a ton of that as a kid. Smoking on planes totally existed, but I've never flown. I smoke "on the clock" all the time.

All of those things are dead and gone in So Cal. I kinda miss seeing kids buy packs of cigarettes.
