I have looked into the abyss... and it looked back... and it was wearing glittery watermelon lipgloss and silly bandz.
Also... fun. fun. fun. fun.

Oh for f***s sake...
It really is no exaggeration when people criticise this generation musically as the worst ever.

Now I'm pretty damn tolerant when it comes to pop music, but that was just awful

I believe it's some sort of strange record label/vanity recording enterprise that records teen girls in a very generic fashion.

"Yesterday was Thursday. Today it is Friday We we we so excited. We so excited. We gonna have a ball today. Tomorrow is Saturday Sunday comes afterwards." Mind-blowing lyrical genius at work there. That "YEAH!!!" sounds like it was recorded in the Seventh Circle of Dante's Inferno.

Holy crap... I'd like to apologize to Kesha.
At this rate she'll be this generation's Bob Dylan.

Partyin', partyin', yeah!
I have a little sister who listens to this kind of stuff RELIGIOUSLY. So consider yourselves lucky you don't live with an eleven year old who thinks the word of Disney Channel is the Bible.

Oh for f***s sake... It really is no exaggeration when people criticise this generation musically as the worst ever. Yes it is. The song was awful, completely, totally, objectively, awful but it's not like it's popular for any reason other than the fact that people are ridiculing it for how awful it really is. It's not a popular song, not a number 1 single, not anything other than Tosh.O joke that will be forgotten in a few months like most other internet memes. The only difference between extremely awful music in previous generations and now is that the now has youtube and sites like it to spread such music and expose it to more scorn. In previous generations, those songs might be played on a local radio station or a prom after party.

I said this in the other thread, but it bears repeating:
Terrible song. Generic beat, no real rhythm, lyrics were either painfully obvious facts (everyone knows the order of the days of the week) or made no damn sense (did that guy rap that he was driving from the backseat?), and the singer has a boring voice and is just uncharismatic. That's just terrible. Not a redeeming quality in the whole thing.

Actually, she sounds like a robot trying to emulate a human singing. I wouldn't be surprised if this was actually true.
