Inspired by this post I found while looking through some old threads.
So who are some wrestlers you've dismissed that have gone on to big things?

CM Punk...I mean I love him coming from the indies to the WWE but I didn't think he'd become champion or anything. I'd thought they job him out to teach fans of the indies a leason but instead he's actually accomplished alot in his career.
As for the other way around , I really thought Christian would become a world champion but that's just not happening and no the WWECW championship does not count as a real world championship.

As much as I liked him I was bummed that bluechipper babyface Randy Orton was a jobber for life.

I really thought Colt Cabana would have had Santino's spot way back. I just hope he's happy with the ROH and indies.

Lesnar when he first debuted with Ron Waterman...I thought he was just another jacked up meat head and would quickly go the way of Brakkus...I also was one of the many hating on Rocky when he debuted

I thought once John Cena became a rapper, his career was over.

Edge. I never thought much of him before the E&C days and even then I didnt know he would be one of the cornerstones and win so many world titles.

The Miz.
I loved him in a tag team with Morrison but totally thought he'd fall by the wayside after they split up.
Another one would be Cody Rhodes. I hated him in Legacy but since he went "Dashing" he's damned entertaining.

When Kurt Angle first debuted, I didn't think he would last long. I also didn't think he was entertaining at first. I couldn't have been more wrong about him.
Miz is another good example that's more recent.

Let's just get to the real issue here...
Did that guy go on to eat Papi Sanchez's hat?

Oooh, here's another one I was wrong about - Ahmed Johnson. The way the WWF was pushing him, I thought for sure he'd be WWF champion by the end of the 90s - boy was I wrong.

I remember I was watching USWA studio wrestling when Flex Kavana debuted. He looked like an idiot with his pineapple haircut and was really dull on the mic. They kept hyping him up like he was the next great superstar, I just couldn't see it.
Then just a couple of months later he debuted as Rocky Maivia, and I even hated him more, because he was now going to ruin my WWF watching. He still looked like an idiot with his pineapple haircut and was still really dull on the mic. When he won the I-C title, I was so pissed. I thought that he was only getting pushed because his father was someone semi-important many years ago, which meant nothing to me. I thought at that point that Flex Kavana would be pushed down my throat until he won the WWF title.
I admit I was wrong.

Hey, don't forget Christian is a two time NWA world heavyweight champion from his time in TNA. Yeah, I know. I really thought he'd reach main event level in WWE, too. It's a shame he hasn't, as I think he's one of the best.
