I agree. And then we can all argue whether or not the WWE Title stops spinning in the last shot.

Being John Malkovich-one wrestler finds a portal into another's head, and eventually takes control of him and forces him to lay down and lose every week.

The Dark Knight. Though think of it as a Cliff Notes version, with a changed ending.
A heel (CM Punk would work) terrorizes the WWE through various attacks. He recruits a heel stable through intimidation and fear to be his minions. A slightly tweener wrestler goes after him as does a straight forward babyface. The tweener doesn't do promos or anything, he just beats the crap out of the heel stable. Meanwhile, the face cuts promos and does everything by the book. Finally, the lead heel kidnaps both the face and his diva girlfriend and holds them in different parts of the arena. The tweener tries to save them both, but the diva gets hit with a move that is considered career ending, while the face gets beaten to a pulp. The face blames the tweener and the WWE in general for what happened, so he teams with the lead heel and starts taking everyone out. As a result of the heel team's beatings of everyone, the tweener becomes hated since he can't save everyone and people think it's his fault that the face turned. Finally, the tweener faces and beats the two heels, but has to retreat from the spotlight since everyone is still mad at him.

Liam Neeson is a heel loosely aligned with (but not actually a member of) a powerful heel faction, the Nazis. He convinces Ben Kingsley, a babyface who is on the losing end of a feud with the Nazis, to team up with him in order to get the Nazis off his back. Initially, Liam Neeson does this only to further his own goals of gaining power and influence, but eventually he makes a face turn and aids Kingsley in trying to take down the Nazis from within.

The Magnificent Seven - Ric Flair, Jeff Jarrett, the Steiner Brothers, Lex Luger, Buff Bagwell, and Road Warriror Animal try save wrestling, but lose respect from everyone in the lockerroom. This has never been done before, specificly not in 2001.

My Dinner with Andre? (and no andre the giant jokes either) Daniel Bryan and Bret Hart discuss toe holds and dropkicks for an hour. Actually, I'd pay to see that.

You know what, they should actually do some of these, they sound like they'd make compelling angles translated right.

The Truman Show: A ridiculously nice babyface honestly believes that wrestling is real and he is a world champion not knowing that everyone else is on the fact that wrestling is scripted. Slowly he starts to realise what is going on and at the end walks out on his Wrestlemania (or similiar big event) match to get a normal job.

I'd like to see how you'd put a Commissioner Gordon type character into the story.

I agree. And then we can all argue whether or not the WWE Title stops spinning in the last shot. How has this been no sold? Well we are all either celebrating the life and career of Luger or if you are like me you didn't see the movie to understand the reference

The Hangover- Face stable of 3 plus leader's weirdo friend go out partying to celebrate the Leader's title shot the next day, wake up the next morning to find leader missing,go through wacky hijinks only to discover they accidently left the leader locked on the roof of the arena from the night before.

White Dog -
Formerly dreanged, emotionally damaged Abyss/Mankind style monster wrestler eventually turns babyface and drops his manager in order to become friends with a babyface female wrestler who he then begins helping out whenever shes outnumbered. One time, he makes the save for her against a black male heel and is unnecessarilyly viscious in his beating. Then, next week he attacks another black heel and is overly violent. The next week, he attacks a black babyface from behind and later simply doesnt know why he did so. It is then found out that he grew up in a family of white racists, who taught him to feel hatred towards black people.
Growing numbers of people call for him to be fired from the company, however another veteran, possibly retired black wrestler makes a offer to spend some months training with him to try and get rid of the problem. Having dealt with prejudice all his life, he sees the training as a personal challenge. We then get a few months of videos of them training together, and at the end of it, it appears he has been cured. The two then challenge for the tag titles together. However, the monster then attempts to attack the female wrestler, and is then fired from the company.
Its not much of an angle, but its an angle.
I want to do a Run Lola Run angle but cant think of what Manni leaving the money on the bus could be turned into.

The Warriors- Face stable and every other stable in a company meet with charismatic owner, lights go out and Owner is attacked and laid out,Place goes nuts everyone runs and the leader of the face stable is fingered as the attacked by the people who really did it,the face stable then (sans leader who is put out of action by a gang assault) must fight their way through all the other groups before finally being confronted by the true attackers when they finally reach their locker room. The heels admit what they did,on camera, and after a brief brawl with the faces the Owner's private security come to finish them off...would make an interesting PPV plotline at least.
