at the Steel City Con in Monroeville, PA this weekend. Everybody was nice. I didn't get a pic with Bruno ($20) but did have him sign my WWE Encyclopedia (also $20). His handler said, "That's the second one of those I've seen. I can't believe they put him in there!" So, I got the impression he hadn't been asked to sign one until this weekend. He seemed shocked I wanted him to sign over the text of his entry. I shook his hand, said "it's a pleasure to meet you Living Legend", to which he smiled and chuckled while thanking me. There was another guy there kind of monopolizing his time with conversation so I didn't talk to him beyond that. I was happy afterwards that my wife at least snapped a pic of me while I was talking to him. So, I kind of got a pic with him.
My meeting wih Velvet and Angelina was much more interesting. For the first hour or so I was there they were "out to lunch" so I was about ready to leave when I saw this rather dolled up looking blonde searching through mini movie posters at one of the dealer tables. She was wanting Devil's Rejects stuff to have Priscilla Barnes sign. I stood right beside her for a few moments until I realized, "That's Angelina Love!" I didn't bother her at that moment but I was thinking, "Get back to your table woman!"
She did shortly thereafter, and I went to their table to get the "package deal" they were offering which included a pic with both and autographs of both for $25. Unfortunately, the autograph was just an autograph and didn't included their pics to sign. I was about broke at this point, so I asked their guy if they'd sign my WWE Encyclopedia. He cringed a bit and said, "Ohh, I'm not sure about that." So, I said, "what if I have them write "WWE SUCKS!" or something like that?" He seemed to think that was a great idea, so he had me present it to them.
They seemed not to keen about the idea of badmouthing WWE. Velvet said to Angelina "I don't think we should do it, do you?" They finally officially declined, so I figured I'd have to scrape up more money for pics, but Velvet goes, "I mean, I'll write "TNA Rules!" or something, but I think the other would be unprofessional."
I was perfectly fine wih this, because I just wanted them to sign the book so I wouldn't have to buy pictures. I didn't care what they wrote to begin with, but their guy made me feel like they wouldn't sign a WWE product.
So, I got their sigs and my pic. They were both nice, but Velvet came off slightly more sincere. Here's some pics from the day!
