These are things that I sort of know about from all the wrestling matches I've watched, but could use some clarification on. Partly because I'm curious, and partly because now that I'm writing matches every week for the WWCF it would help to know just what does and does not get somebody disqualified in most promotions. First of all, the countout thing. Let's say that both men--in the case of a tag match, both legal men--are on the outside and the ref starts a double countout. One guy rolls back into the ring for a second and then rolls back out to fight on the outside some more. I googled this and it said that the count is restarted every time one of the wrestlers enters or exits the ring. Instead of the ref saying "Okay, I'm restarting the count for Edge since he just rolled back in, but Swagger's been on the outside for a ten count by now so Swagger loses." Is that correct? It doesn't quite make total sense, but it does make the ref's job easier since he doesn't have to yell "ONE for Edge, and SEVEN for Swagger....TWO for Edge and EIGHT for Swagger..." etc. Second, the exposed turnbuckle. Heels like to expose the turnbuckles, and whenever they do the ref lectures them about how they are being bad and such and will attempt to put the cover back on when he has a free moment, but doesn't outright DQ them. Thinking back to the matches I've seen where a wrestler has hit the exposed turnbuckle and lost, I can't remember whether the ref saw him actually hit it or not. So my question is this: is it a disqualifiable offense to bash somebody into an exposed turnbuckle in full view of the referee? Thanks!

The way I see it:
1. The count is restarted when someone rolls in and then back out. Heels have used this way too often to continue an attack on the outside to be ignored.
2.Like bringing in a chair or any other "international object", the ref would issue a warning to the wrestler tampering with the turnbuckle but not outright disqualify him or her because the turnbuckle hasn't been used yet as a weapon. By all rights, the ref should force the two wrestlers into neutral corners and either fix the turnbuckle himself or have a ring crew guy do it. Since that doesn't happen, I would imagine that he would warn both wrestlers not to use the turnbuckle until it was fixed, disqualifying them if they do so.
