I don't know if anyone has posted this yet, but I am posting a link to a party held by many of Umaga's friends celebrating his life: www.411mania.com/wrestling/news/167952I think it is very cool to see how many of his co-workers loved him. On the one year anniversary of his death, many of his friends met to share stories and memories about their fallen friend, while engaging in a feast of Umaga's favorite foods. It is a nice change of pace to see something positive for a change.

That's really a cool way to remember him. Obviously he was loved by many. Never forgotten, big man.

Shelton Benjamin is hating on this on his Twitter feed.
Apparently one of their "friends" took the pictures then sold out by putting the images up to TMZ.

Mike Chioda is wearing a Sons of Anarchy jacket. That rules.

I really don't see what's so wrong with this being covered.
If TMZ did something very tasteless (and knowing them they could), then I'd understand the backlash.

I think it's the betrayal of trust is the big issue there. Taking personal pictures that would probably go on facebook or be sent to friends and then giving them to TMZ. It's not like it was a big public thing at a tribute show, it was a private party.

Neither do I, but they should be allowed to hold a private gathering and not have to worry about someone taking pictures to be published for public viewing regardless of what they reveal, which in this case is just a group of people hanging out together. Shelton is pissed about the person sharing them without consent, its a perfectly logical reaction. TMZ is just doing what they do, its the source thats at fault.

MVP's furious about it too. It's understandable why they'd be angry.

Shad just tweeted this.
"Before you comment on some ones life take a look at yours, and if you see no flaws or mistakes then you are infallible, only second to God. But if you have made mistakes, and wish you made better decisions than you did, then my friend you are human. And you should realize now that life is short and tomorrow is not promised. So enjoy the ones you love, & wish good fortune to the ones you hate. Positivist energy feels a lot better than Negative energy. So Live, Love, and Laugh, life is to short."
I don't know if it's related or not.

I would imagine that would be in reply to some obnoxious comments from Twitter trolls.

I do understand why some of the guys are pissed. A very private moment amongst friends was sold to TMZ for profit. Some people like to keep their private life private.

sadly, that is probably not even anywhere in the top 100 sleaziest things done in the wrestling business to make a buck.

To make the thread less negative, RIP once again to the big man. He was always one of my favorites to watch. I'll always feel so privileged that I was in person for his 2nd to last televised WWE match. He wrestled CM Punk at a SmackDown taping, and CM Punk got him up for the GTS and beat him and the crowd went crazy. He'll always be one of the best "big men" in the business, in my humble opinion.

Shad just tweeted this. "...Positivist energy feels a lot better than Negative energy..." Methinks someone doesn't understand what "positivist" means. It's great that people were able to get together to remember. It sucks that he knew he had a problem but continued with it until it killed him. It sucks that someone chose to share a personal moment with the world.
