Anyone who knows me that I am a huge listener of Heavy Metal, but I also enjoy a little love songs. But which type of Monster Ballads do you all suggest for me? I got a lot ranging from KISS, Winger, Lita Ford, Whtiesnake and others. But are there any I'm missing?

One of my personal favorites
The quintessential power ballad
And the one that started the cliche in the first place

Whitesnake doing Is This Love is a tremendously beautiful, haunting song. Sykes' guitar solo is absolutely tremendous in the bridge. Intense, thick tone that just bleeds desperation.
Ozzy doing See You On the Other Side is another one that has some monster intensity going on. I'm not much on cheesy power ballads, but I love when an artist that has a great understanding of how to create an extremely emotional performance with the rockin' stuff also knows how to create true emotions that aren't complete sap. Both of these songs seem to sum that up for me.
Those type of songs got me through some tough times in the past. When I See You Smile? Not so much. That just made me want to hurt people.
And don't get me started on Bon Frickin' Jovi.

"Don't Know What You've Got (Til It's Gone)" by Cinderella is an all time favorite of mine.
Not sure if "Playing With Fire" by Lita Ford counts as a power ballad, but I love it nonetheless.

Yup. Don't forget "I Remember You" by Skid Row. Even better if you can get the live version Baz did solo from his Bring 'em Bach Alive album. It's amazing.

None of those are really power ballads.

What in the world is your definition of a power ballad then?

What in the world is your definition of a power ballad then? Those are all excellent songs, but just ballads. Monster ballads tend to be glam metal songs.
