If you remember, RAW was drawing over 4.5 when they gave the belt to Edge. Something different grabbed the audience. Then they went back to Cena, who's stale as the champ. They're STILL doing Vince/HBK, but now with HHH. And the rest of RAW is passable at best. But I love how a 3.5 is a death toll for WWE, but a 1.1 for TNA is reason for mass celebration. Think about it this way if you're worth $10,000 and you win a million bucks, that's alot for you and you'll be celebrating for weeks now think about the guy who's worth 25 billion dollars and he wins 10 million dollars. He would maybe have a grin on his face but he wouldn't care much even though he won 10 times the amount you did! One man's trash is another man's treasure

Problem is there is no strong main event focus on Raw.
The DX teasing is tiresome and going nowhere and isn't going to be interesting until it does start going somewhere.
And John Cena Vs RVD is hardly going to get fans excited. A poor drawing champion vs a guy nobody gives a toss about and who is suddenly thrust into the main event to please the small minority of wrestling fans that watched ECW? It's hardly a class-A plan.

The Spirit Squad and HHH in the main event. And you're REALLY wondering why the ratings are falling?!

That was probably due to the 24 season finale. Oh well, its still over a 3.5...which is still excellent. Its also sad that RAW has almost twice the rating of Smackdown, where RAW is being aired over a cable network, whereas Smackdown is on national TV. Michael Cole does not equal ratings. On the contrary, my friend. These are about equal viewership numbers; infact, Smackdown! for a while was more viewed and had a lower rating. Why? Because network points mean more viewers than cable points (source: History of Communication text book, Wrestlecrap book). A more accurate number is the share, but that varies even more so, especially when something big like season finales are on or big sports games. -Ian

You know the problem? Not enough Spirit Squad. I got a fever, and it can only be cured with more Spirit Squad. ;D

It's because of the slow build up. They are pretty much advancing in storylines by 5% every week.

Viewers have finally realized they won't be getting any more live sex celebrations any time soon.

Ratings don't really mean a thing. What with DVD and t-shirt sales and all.
