It won't make that much money, but it's still a pretty decent success. Congrats to See No Evil and the WWE.

Remember, the thought process was: anything more than making their money back would be considered a success. They've done that by 4 million and counting. It might pain some people to admit it, but the WWE was successful here

Does anyone remember the threads/polls that had See No Evil as the worst movie in modern history? Or how itd be out of every theatre in 2 weeks? Or how it'd bankrupt the WWE because there was no way it was going to make a dime? This is why the "wait and see" approach actually makes sense. Im glad to see that some of the "experts" here that know everything about movie making were wrong on this. QFT... people don't fully understand how the movie industry works, in terms of the different levels.

It should be noted that movie theaters always get a significant portion of the profits. Therefore, while See No Evil has made money instead of losing it, it is actually making WWE significantly less than 4 million.

Thats like how one of my best friends is always making fun of the fact that Godzilla 2000 (I love Godzilla, he hates it) only made about $10 million in its US theatrical release. What he fails to realize is Sony paid Toho about $1 mil for the rights to distribute it in America, including advertising, so thats a quick $9 mil profit that doesn't even include DVD sales and rentals or television broadcasting rights.
