Yeah so I heard that Sidney Lumet died recently so I figured I should watch one of his films, but the only one to hand I had was 12 Angry Men.
Never seen it before.
What an great film, so much going on in one little room from 12 actors at the top of there game.

It's really a good story. I particularly liked the humanizing moment when the last stalwart, even in his misplaced anger, refused to back up the racist.

Sidney's best movie, and that's saying something. Considered an all time classic for very good reason.
I'd say beside this one, Network, and Dog Day Afternoon are his best. Check those two out, if you haven't.

One of my favorite movies. It's a short time window in the story and a small location and yet it tells a fantastic story. Fantastic performances all around for the cast as well.

The cast of that movie is phenomenal and what a great story it tells. The performance of Henry Fonda is top-flight and everyone in the jury just seems perfect for their role. It's one of those movies that everyone should watch; along with "To kill a mockingbird" as examples of when the legal system gets things right, and wrong.

It's actually a terrible example, as jury members aren't investigators.

I didn't say it was necessarily accurate and you're correct that the actions of Fonda in bringing a similar knife into the jury room and the speculation about one of the witnesses wearing of glasses would lead to a mistrial due to juror misconduct. It's not a documentary by any means but that's not the movie's point.

The main character demonstrates that what they were being told was solid was shaky or dubious in quality, so he was doing his job. He had very reasonable doubts.

I've seen both the original and the remake. Both were awesome.

I've seen this for my Law class in Grade 12, and I found it to be a well-rounded film.

Sorry, as an Opie and Anthony fan, I cannot think of Quincy without doing that.
